  1. Big 12 is 6-0 so far. Nice.
  2. Oh man, Gus is getting excited. This game better be close at the end. I need some screaming.
  3. Well, way to show up today Mizzou. Oh well, I didn't expect them to win, but I was hoping it would be competitive. Regardless of the loss, at least Mizzou basketball is fun to watch. Hopefully they come out to play on Wednesday.
  4. Mizzou up 23 at the half over K-State. HUGE game on Sunday. BEAT kU! Oh, and they scored 55 in the first half on 41% shooting. Ha.
  5. BEAT kU.
  6. So I'm not sure why people still think the Big 12 South is better than the North: Oklahoma 4-0 Texas 1-3 OKlahoma State 1-2 Texas A&M 0-2 Baylor 1-2 Texas Tech 1-2 8-11 total, with Oklahoma obviously carrying the South. Now, hardly dominating, but this theory that the South is dominating the North is completely wrong, with four of the South's victories coming against bottom feeders ISU and Colorado. The rest of the North is 11-3 against the South. Just something that I found interesting. Oh, and beat ku.
  7. Watching Notre Dame-Pitt right now. This game is a perfect example of why they will never do anything come tournament time. All they do is shoot threes. That's it. That's all they've ever done under Brey. And if they're not hitting their threes, they're atrocious. I mean holy crap. They have 9 threes in the first half, yet they're only up four. I'm shivering to think how bad they are if they aren't hitting threes all game.
  8. this is a bad, bad loss. every time i wanna start being interested in this stupid program, they pull this crap.
  9. You suck Mizzou.
  10. Mizzou #36 on that list. I'm fairly pleased with that considering the piece of crap program they were from the early 80's until recently (minus '97 and '98, which were solid teams).
  11. Jim Chaney was the TE coach for the Rams last year - I doubt he made any connections in the college ranks while there, but it's possible. And it is likely that we'll lose a lot of the battles Kiffin is engaging in this year, but like I've said, if there's one thing this staff should be able to do it's recruit. It certainly wouldnt surprise me if they did win some recruiting battles this year. Next year I bet they have a top five class. And St Louis usually produces 1-3 highly recruited players a year. It's not all that far from Tennessee, so I could see them tapping into that area, even without strong connections.
  12. Tennessee may be coming a little late to sway Alabama's recruits this year, but there should be some pretty interesting battles between the two schools next year. And with UT's recruiters, I'm willing to bet they win a lot of those battles. I just hope they stay away from St. Louis, although I'm betting they enter into the St. Louis area for recruits.
  13. And the fact that he really, really sucks.
  14. Mizzou has a solid class. I was hoping for a Top 25, and there's still time, but right now they're on the outside looking in. It's really gonna depend on if Ronnie Wingo, a RB/Athlete from St. Louis comes to Mizzou or heads elsewhere. Star of the class is Sheldon Richardson a defensive tackle, the number 4 rated player in the country, regardless of positions. He looked awesome in the Army All American game. And d-line is huge position of need for MU. Also, Josh Tatum, a Juco linebacker who originally commited to USC, is coming to Mizzou. JUCO's are tricky, but the more talented defensive players Mizzou can get, the better.
  15. LSU fans, what do you know about Josh Henson? Word is Mizzou is trying to hire him as the new tight ends coach. I looked at his profile on another site, and he seems like a pretty good recruiter. Any insight?
  16. Syracuse is in Florida? Do I really need to spell this out for you? That's the last time they played out of state.
  17. I found this on another board. Florida's non conference schedules the last 18 years. Interesting to say the least: 1990: Oklahoma State (Gainesville), Furman (Gainesville), Akron (Gainesville), FSU (Tallahassee) 1991: San Jose State (Gainesville), Syracuse (Syracuse), Northern Illinois (Gainesville), FSU (Gainesville) 1992: Louisville (Gainesville), Southern Miss (Gainesville), FSU (Tallahassee) 1993: Arkansas State (Gainesville), SW Louisiana (Gainesville), FSU (Gainesville) 1994: New Mexico St (Gainesville), Southern Miss (Gainesville), FSU (Tallahassee) 1995: Houston (Gainesville), Northern Illinois (Gainesville), FSU (Gainesville) 1996: SW Louisiana (Gainesville), Georgia Southern (Gainesville), FSU (Tallahassee) 1997: Southern Miss (Gainesville), Central Michigan (Gainesville), FSU (Gainesville) 1998: The Citadel (Gainesville), Northeast Louisiana (Gainesville), FSU (Tallahassee) 1999: Western Michigan (Gainesville), Central Florida (Gainesville), FSU (Gainesville) 2000: Ball State (Gainesville), Middle Tennessee State (Gainesville), FSU (Tallahassee) 2001: Marshall (Gainesville), Lousiana-Monroe (Gainesville), FSU (Gainesville) 2002: UAB (Gainesville), Miami (Gainesville), Ohio (Gainesville), FSU (Tallahassee) 2003: San Jose State (Gainesville), Miami (Miami), FAMU (Gainesville), FSU (Gainesville) 2004: Eastern Michigan (Gainesville), Middle Tenn State (Gainesville), FSU (Tallahassee) 2005: Wyoming (Gainesville), La Tech (Gainesville), FSU(Gainesville) 2006: Southern Miss (Gainesville), UCF (Gainesville), Western Carolina (Gainesville), FSU (Tallahassee) 2007: Western Kentucky (Gainesville), Troy (Gainesville), FAU (Gainesville), FSU (Gainesville) 2008: Hawaii (Gainesville), Miami (Gainesville), The Citadel (Gainesville), FSU (Tallahassee) Florida hasn't left the state to play a non-con game in 18 years.
  18. As a Mizzou fan, I'll definitely miss Maclin. He was so much fun to watch. And I'd love the Bears to draft him. But it just doesn't seem like a Jerry Angelo move, which is ridiculous. After Angelo's press conference last week and his whole number 1 receiver crap, I just can't see the Bears drafting him, which is beyond stupid with the current Bears receiving corp.
  19. Can someone explain to me what position Percy Harvin is going to play in the NFL. Is is wide receiver or running back? He seems to me be in the Reggie Bush category, only not as good. And correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't most of his receiving yards screen passes?
  20. Tim Tebow is now in the JJ Redick category for me. I cannot wait til he gets to the league and fails. He may be a good person, but I dont care. I will thoroughly enjoy watching him become a nobody in the NFL.
  21. I would say its man's greatest achievement. In 50 years, history books won't even bother covering 9/11 because the decade will be defined by Tim Tebow. In fact, since people still can't figure out what to call this decade (naughts? zero's?) they are just going to call it the Tebow's. By mans greatest hero. Let's go to the Chase Daniel family and see what they think about this monumental achievement.
  22. I think its safe to say that Tebow's performance last night was the greatest championship performance in the history of college football. Actually screw that, greatest football performance ever.
  23. Please let Maclin go pro and drop to the Bears (or them move up to get him) yes, this. id be very pleased as a bears fan, although mizzou could use maclin next year as well.
  24. Please let Maclin go pro and drop to the Bears (or them move up to get him) maclin is supposed to announce on friday. all signs point to coming to the draft.
