Nearly any other hitter and thats probably gone, except for Pierre. If he hits a home run it'll be an even bigger shocker than when Paul Bako hit his first in Septmeber 04. -
Both those teams have to suck soon, especially the Cardinals. It HAS to happen sometime, doesn't it? I just cant take it anymore. I want one year where both these teams just absolutely suck and the Cubs to actually be really good. :evil:

I loved Dusty's comment today about how he just "wants his guys back." Oh wait a minute, I hated that comment. I took comfort in the fact that Boers and Bernstein (love em or hate em, they really bash Baker) ripped Baker apart today. -
I'm with you. Whatever Paxson does, it's probably going to be the best move for this team and will work out. In other news, I'm still very, very, VERY bitter at Pat Riley for taking Wade from us. I really thought he was gonna be good, maybe not this good, but gah. ANGRY!

That's very interesting. Thanks for the info Outshined! Anyone know which teams fans are chanting? It seems to be Koreas (who are crazy by the way) but France has a HUGE number there. This crowd has to be one of the best at the World Cup so far.

Not saying this is true of all of those guys, but the term "ringers" comes to mind. Also, the French had strong colonial holdings in Africa (see: Algeria) for a number of years. Makes sense. I guess I may be a little ignorant in this matter, I just didn't know France had that many black players or maybe even citizens. Anyways, this crowd is very, very loud. I can't even hear the whistles on tv. I can't imagine how these players do it. EDIT: Just saw your post Transmogrified.

Ghana wins today, US wins today then, US beats Ghana, Italy beats or ties the Czechs US wins the group, and Italy or the Czechs also advance I see. So if Ghana wins, does the U.S. pretty much have to beat Italy to have a chance to advance?

Could not agree with you more. It's nice to watch a game without stressing. Now it's just funny... Probably the best thing about this season is that most of us don't care anymore, thus reducing stress levels.
