  1. I bought into the WSU hype too Wazzou is a solid team and may very well win this game. However, Oral Roberts has more tournament experience, more athleticism and the best player on the court (Caleb Green)...and Ken Tutt might be the second best.
  2. And now more commercials! Hooray CBS!
  3. I have Oral Bob in the sweet sixteen.
  4. 3-0 here. still, thats just 3 favorites that won. Yeah, 3-0 too. Not exactly celebrating yet.
  5. That's one thing you can count on CBS for: unbelievably dumb coverage choices and decisions to switch or not switch to other games. They really do a poor job. Then they switch over to the BC-TT game for about 10 seconds when BC was up 7 and the game was all but over. Now they've finally gone to the Maryland-Davidson game with just 1:12 left. Their coverage better improve when there isn't a local team playing. I missed seeing the Bryce Drew shot live (I'm IN Indiana) because they had to stay on the Kentucky game...when they were up 25 points or so. I'm still not over that.

  7. Best wins: Arkansas: Southern Illinois, Vanderbilt, WVU Illinois: Indiana (2), Michigan St., Missouri, Stanford: UCLA, Oregon, Washington State, USC, Virginia, Texas Tech This is pretty hard to argue with. Stanford didn't play well today, obviously, but those are some great, great wins. Beating good teams is the easiest way into the tournament.
  8. Arkansas was the last team in. The selection committee said NC State simply would've taken their spot if they won the ACC tournament.
  9. Iowa? Agreed. IOWA?
  10. Not a guy that should be scoring. But, if that means Knight's taken out their big weapons and BC is relying on Oates, TT should be in good shape. Go Red Raiders.
  11. This sucks. It worked last year.
  12. Did you try clicking on another game? Did you click on watch now, and which game was it? Yeah, I've tried clicking on all the games and it says the same thing every time. I'm using firefox, I'm now trying a different browser.
  13. Ok, I'm in, but I can't view anything. It says "cannot open the file. verify that the path and filename are correct and try again." What should I do? Sorry, I'm not terribly literate with computers.
  14. No, you need to refresh it and start in the back of the line-that's what I had to about 30 minutes ago because my computer was doing the same thing. Ugh, sucks. Thanks though.
  15. It hasn't moved me up in line and it still says it's going to start letting people in at 11:30. The clock is ticking, though. Is it OK?
  16. Yeah, I don't see it. While UCLA is very likely to go deep in the tournament (elite eight) much more may be pushing it. They simply don't have much of an answer for an athletic frontline which they are bound to see at some point. I've thought all year UCLA was to be a predictable tournament team -- avoid upsets, advance far, then lose to first really talented team (especially one with athletic bigs) they play. On the other hand, there's what, 2 athletic frontlines on that side of the bracket? Kansas and Florida, and that's about it. Not quite the UNC, Texas, OSU, aTm, Georgetown, Memphis half of the bracket in that aspect. Agreed. UCLA got a good draw in that the teams they don't match-up well with are almost all on the other side. Kansas and Florida are the clear exceptions.

  18. I don't think they can beat Florida's athletic bigs, but I do have them in the Elite 8. Great shooting team that can put points up in a hurry, Brooks is a fantastic player and they're getting hot at the right time. They're finally playing defense too. I have Florida over the Ducks in that region. I also have Oregon in the elite eight. Oregon has a terrific perimeter attack and are very quick. However, like CaliforniaRaisin said, I don't see how they can match-up with Florida's bigs. Quite like what happened to them in 2002 in the elite eight against Kansas. You're right about Wisconsin. They were very, very good before the Butch injury but have been less than impressive since. He was a skilled big man and very important to their offense flow. I'd be very surprised if Florida doesn't make the final four out of this region. Maybe the team with the best chance to upset them is up-and-down Maryland, if they get there. I have Wisconsin going out to Georgia Tech, and think Oregon (or maybe Notre Dame) will be in the elite eight. Don't think either can match-up with Florida.
  19. Easy now, IU is not crappy. Also, Illinois has a great chance to lose to Kansas in the sweet sixteen.
  20. My opinion is that it doesn't sound like Collison's injury will be much of an issue -- at least past this weekend's games. If you're not as comfortable with that assessment, I'd say without Collison I don't think UCLA will/can make it that far. (But I don't have them that far anyway). Please, please don't put too much stock into what I think, but you did ask.
  21. I like UCLA, but go Weber State tomorrow night! It wouldn't feel great though if it's because Collison was down, so I hope he's ready to go tomorrow. I echo that sentiment, as if my Hoosiers beat Gonzaga, I'd love to play Weber State instead of UCLA. The Collison injury is certainly one to track, if it's serious. The Bruins lost at West Virgiana without him, as everybody knows. That said, if recent history is any indication, they've survived one injury to a point guard (Tyus Edny). Regardless, UCLA should win its first two games. I really like Russell Westbrook's potential but he's no Cameron Dollar. It's a grade one sprain, Darren was seen walking to the plane at LAX with no noticeable problems. Hopefully UCLA can jump up to a big lead and rest Darren the rest of the way tomorrow. Not sure we can beat Indiana or Gonzaga without DC. That's good. Don't like to see anybody injured during tournament play. Without Collison, the second round game might become a near tossup, though I'd still pick UCLA.

  23. FAMU was complaining? Niagara was the team that had the gripe. i thought it was FAMU. Maybe I was wrong Oh, I didn't read any quotes. I didn't mean you were wrong, I meant that if one team had a right to complain, it was definitely Niagara. In my paper, Niagra was definitely complaining-I do agree, there were definitely a few teams that were worse than them during the season-I'm not sure why there were relegated to the play-in game. Well, evidently the NCAA selection committee has been quoted as saying they don't want a SWAC-MEAC match-up in the play in game for political reasons. I haven't heard or read the quote, but it's been reported. If so, then Niagara was the unfortunate victim. Still, even if that's true, it still shouldn't have been Niagara -- they probably were a 15-seed.
  24. Yeah, Randle hasn't been the same since he broke his hand after hitting it against a wall during practice because he was mad two years ago. Then this year he would've made a perfect WebMD example if FOX had college basketball. Just about every night, he's the most athletic person on the floor, but he gets into foul trouble too much to be on the floor and he's not improved his outside shooting at all over the years. I don't know why he doesn't drive to the hole more in an attempt to get to the line. Yeah, he fouls a LOT. Too bad about all the injuries.
  25. Is Calvin Murphy suiting up?
