  1. Wow, way to ruin the Big Ten's perfect record Illinois.
  2. Welcome to Illinois basketball. Make the game ugly and drag other teams down to your level...which is why I picked them to win two games in the tournament. Illinois tried to give them 5 easy points to end the half and momentum, thank God that long 3 didn't go in. 29-21 at the half. I'll take it all day. Keep playing strong D in the 2nd half and we are in very good shape. Go Big Ten. Which is hard to say with Purdue and Illinois playing, but I really expect the Illini to win. They've played much better as the season progressed. The ACC hasn't looked that great so far in the tournament and the Big Ten has been pretty solid so I think both of those trends bodes well for the Illini. Looks like Texas is up on the possible upset chopping block. I haven't been impressed at all with the ACC this year. North Carolina is good, but still not nearly as good as they should be with that talent level and coaching acumen. I never really thought there was a clear top conference, or any great ones, and that the Big Ten was pretty much as good as any. PS If I had to guess, I'd guess the Big 12 ends up with the best record in the tournament, but they only got four teams in, three of which could do very well, but they have more bad teams than other top conferences.

  5. Raftery needs to shut up about how they should've called it on Shiloh, it was obviously on him. Even Enberg told him he was full of it. That's Lundquist. Him too. Yeah, regardless, Raftery was wrong.

  7. Right now, I'm happy I picked the Ducks. They should roll over Miami. We'll see, though.
  8. Say hello to Ted Valentine! That was a horrible call and so late. I hate Valentine with a passion. PS I want Winthrop to win this game, but that was an awful call from TV Teddy, as per usual.
  9. Haha, CBS is so dumb.
  10. I'm sure as heck not. Go Eagles!!
  11. This sucks. I have a good friend who went to Wisconsin, I'm trying to talk him off the ledge.
  12. Iowa State to Hampton in 2001. It's only happened four times -- Syracuse to Richmond in 1991, Arizona to Santa Clara in 1993 and South Carolina to Coppin State in 1997. I believe all those years are correct, that's off the top of my head.
  13. That's a game I'm going to be watching very closely-I think there's a small but reasonable shot at an upset there. Agreed. Wisconsin is slumping and Texas A&M-CC is very athletic. That said, I'd still be very, very surprised if Wisconsin loses.
  14. Ugly stuff. I'm no Notre Dame fan, but Falls was mugged on that drive.
  15. Alot of people thought they were overseeded at 4 to begin with. This isnt coming from me, just what ive read and heard. Yeah, Virginia at 4, considering how they ended the season and the fact that they didn't have a fantastic resume to begin with, was pretty ridiculous. In fact, VT and Duke at 5 and 6 was wacky too. GT needs to keep storming back - I have them in the 16. I too have them in one of my pools. good coach. Good coach? Wow. I have Georgia Tech in the sweet sixteen, too, but only because of athleticism/talent. If you're waiting for them to win on coaching, you'll be waiting a long while. They did go to the finals with a marginally talented team a couple years ago. He deserves some credit for that. Of course you could throw the IU coach at me too (his name escapes me). Anyway i thought that GT team was well coached. Mike Davis. Dusty Baker nearly took the Cubs to the World Series, was he a good coach? I'd also consider that Georgia Tech team more than marginally talented, BJ Elder was good and Jarrett Jack has been a good NBA player so far. Besides, they got blown out the first time they played a team with superior talent. They also didn't play a higher seeded team until the final four and Oklahoma State -- which was very nice victory. It was a nice run, of course. PS Are you watching the end of their game now? Look like a well coached team? Yes and no. They need to go to the Izzo school of rebounding. I forgot about the easy round Tech had going into that finals...where were you when i filled out my bracket. Hey, I had GT winning two the same as you, shows what I know.

  18. My bracket has Memphis winning here, but losing to Creighton next round. I went with Nevada, but thought it was pretty much a tossup.
  19. Me too. I think either Nevada or Creighton may beat them. I wish IU could've drawn Memphis as the 2-seed instead of UCLA. Oh well.
  20. Go Hoosiers! I still have no idea why everyone seemingly picked Gonzaga. Indiana matched up perfectly with them, oh well. Probably IU's last win of the season.
  21. Live from Indiana, CBS hasn't yet switched off the Ohio State game. Yay, I love CBS!!!!
  22. I picked Vandy \:D/ I picked GW to the Sweet 16. I must've been on LSD or something. Vandy will beat WSU Agreed.
  23. Well, my Oral Roberts upset pick didn't work out so well. Oops.
  24. I thought about it-that's actually why I didn't pick Butler in the second round. ODU is a quality squad, but I think Butler will have something to prove today. I hated to, but I did. Butler has really slumped down the stretch.
