I was just going to mention Hairston...he did start a game at 3b for the O's last year, but only logged 3 innings before switching positions...he had one chance, made the play, so a perfect FPCT. He's played a few innings on the left side of the IF before, so I'm sure he could handle it if need be, but that's not Dusty's style. He's not a 3b by nature, so he won't play him there.

haha, me too...but i've also got DLee on both of my teams this year, and he seems to be doing alright :lol:

Not an official signing, but just a blurb I found on Dylan Johnston (4th round pick, High School SS)-- Dylan Johnston isn't going to wait to start his professional baseball career -
Wow..quite a list here. First off, here's a list of players i DO NOT see returning with the Cubs(at least on the 40 man), so they're spots will be open: Crouthers (just doesn't offer enough value in a very mediocre bullpen) Vasquez (wasn't he already removed? if not, he will be this year IMO) Novoa (isn't all that great, and is another arm that isn't worth much) Rohlicek (big LH pitcher won't be easily dismissed, but if he stinks it up...) There's 4 MINOR LEAGUE spots right there. Not to mention the fact that Cedeno figures on the bench next year. There's another minor league spot freeing up. 5 spots. Now on to who we SHOULD protect... Pie, Dopirak, and Petrick WILL be protected, end of discussion. Marshall should be, Murton should be. There's 5 guys right there, all who are legit prospects, not the Vasquez/Rohlicek/Novoa junk we've had on our 40 man lately.
