  1. These have to start dropping in at some point right?
  2. You can't spell Hedo Turkoglu without Ehlo.
  3. Not that bad. Even though some didn't want to admit it, no one expects the Hawks to win this series. Even down 0-2 and tied 3-3 in this one, they've played better than I thought they would/could. Well I didn't really expect the Bulls to beat the Celtics and I was dying on every possession. I can't imagine walking out of the UC tonight and not wanting to hang yourself if they end up losing this game.
  4. I'm really glad I'm not much of a Blackhawks fan right now. This would be agonizing.
  5. Yeah, and Joe Montana was nothing without Bill Walsh. Remind me, what was Belichick as a head coach prior to Brady? Don't get me wrong, I'd want him running the Bears out of any guy out there but you can have the best system in the world and you still need good players to execute it. Belichick would be the first to tell you that. And Cassel had a decent year in 2008--as in he was a borderline top 10 QB in the league. Brady had the greatest season of a QB in league history with largely the same personnel. Let's not pretend Cassel went in there and duplicated what Brady did just because he did a decent job.
  6. He sure is. His accuracy is off the charts. He probably is one of the best 5 deep ball throwers in the history of the league. His pocket presence and manipulation is fantastic. Brady doesn't have the strongest arm but he can really sling it when necessary--definitely above average in that regard. He's not very mobile but he has a quick release and can throw on the move as well. And his resume stacks up against anyone's. How is it not arguable?
  7. Tom Brady in his entire career has never had a season where he was sacked as few times as Cutler was last year. Even in 2007 Brady was sacked 21 times (compared to Cutler being sacked 11 times last season) and that was the lowest total of his career. I like Cutler too but that's just way overboard. Brady is arguably the greatest QB of all time and you're actually saying Cutler is ALREADY better. That's ludicrous.
  8. George Karl is the master of killing his own team's momentum by needlessly subbing his best players out during crucial periods. "Gee, Melo is just murdering everyone on the Lakers one on one, better take him out and let J.R. Smith run the show!"
  9. This has to be one of the shortest series, time wise, that I can remember.
  10. Looks like the Cardinals have been hitting their spots at will in this series. I don't see the value in automatically going down 0-2 every at bat. The problem is that they can't hit these pitchers underwhelming stuff.
  11. This would be more reassuring if he were OPSing .750 or whatever and we'd be wringing our hands about why he wasn't closer to .900. It's less reassuring when we're talking about someone who has been one of the very worst players (relative to his contract, position, and place in the lineup especially) in the game so far this year.
  12. Holy crap. If Williams made that shot that would've surpassed the Fisher shot against the Spurs from a few years ago in terms of miraculousness.
  13. ...Why was Fukudome playing so deep on that Greene fly out? That looked routine.
  14. Either Pisa visiting Philadelphia was never the plan, or Pisa may not be leaving Chicago without a contract. Hmm... Sounds good to me. I never minded Hunter but he always was the weak link in the LB corps. An upgrade would definitely be in order whether it be Roach or Pisa.
  15. After winning all those titles with no scoring in the front court, we Bulls fans have concluded skilled big men are for the birds. This must be true because you never see Bulls fans talking about trading for the Amare Stoudemire's or Chris Bosh's of the world. As for Blair, he rebounds. The Bulls are one of the very worst defensive rebounding teams in the league and rebounding translates better than just about any other skill set from college to the pros. He'll be a solid, unspectacular player for a long time. I don't think anyone is claiming he's a franchise player or is expecting one to be there at #16.
  16. Stupid Nuggets.
  17. We need Blair for the defensive glass, not offense. Bulls are one of better offensive rebounding teams in the league because of Jo. It's Tyrus' selling out on every block shot and general stupidity that makes them a poor defensive rebounding team. Blair would be a godsend at 16. I'd be surprised if he fell that far and wouldn't be at all opposed to jumping up to grab him. That's assuming no Bosh/Amare type deal of course.
  18. I'm a complete noob when it comes to hockey but shouldn't a defenseman be able to play defense better than he plays offense?
  19. Not a bad 3rd option for PF/C if you remove the fact that he's owed $10.4 million, $11.3 million, and $12.2 million for the next three years.
  20. Bavetta, Crawford, Javie, et. al. will be strategically deployed to make sure that doesn't happen.
  21. Well today has been a huge bust. It looked like a good day for couch lock but then the Cubs lose, Hawks lose, and the Lakers/Rockets game is completely boring.
