  1. Rose played 13 minutes in the 1st half. Hinrich and Salmons played 19 and 20 minutes respectively and went a combined 3/15 from the floor with 5 turnovers. Tyrus is also "out" with the "flu."
  2. Put Rose in the game and let him run the show. Christ, it isn't rocket science. We're running the same damn sets we ran last year except without BG to bail us out of them. The only hope this team has is to put the ball in Derrick's hands and let him do a Chris Paul imitation. The Hornets feature him so much to their own detriment but they have no other choice. We're in the same boat.
  3. Salmons and Hinrich are in a spirited battle to see who's the worst off guard in the NBA who gets regular minutes.
  4. This team sure does a good job of making up for its lack of interior scoring by utterly lacking any dependable outside shooters.
  5. Wow this team is brutal. Vinny's rotations are horrible. The effort is nonexistent. The crowd is completely dead when they should be booing lustily. Salmons is a [expletive] joke. Is Thomas in the dog house again? Gibson started for god knows what reason. Vinny takes out Rose at the 6:55 minute of the first quarter when he was the only one who had scored. They've turned the ball over at least 6 or 7 times in the first quarter alone.
  6. Horrible effort so far.
  7. Bill Walton isn't going to return to broadcasting: http://sportsmediawatch.blogspot.com/2009/11/bill-walton-retires-from-broadcasting.html I'm honestly pretty bummed out about this. Walton is my favorite color man of all time.
  8. Chris Chambers was released by the Chargers today. He's a shell of his former self but he's a bigger wide receiver and was once one of the better WRs in the league at nabbing balls in traffic.
  9. Welp. Would've been nice to get a W on the road for a change. Rose plays better and we win. I think it's head more than his ankle but I could be wrong.
  10. Rose wasn't even out of bounds when he got that pass. I mean he still screwed up but still. Edit: I had no idea that was a rule.
  11. It'd be swell if Wade could do that for us next year.
  12. And Q sticks a fork in us. Lame.
  13. Again, I don't know what this guy does well. I want to see another guard in the league that misses as many wide open shots as Kirk, especially with the reputation that Kirk has as a 'good outside shooter.' He really is one of the best defenders in the league. I was down on him big time going into the Boston series but the guy is an outstanding defender. He does need a much better jumpshot given the limitations of his game.
  14. Miss more wide open mid range jumpers guys.
  15. Does Hinrich not work on his shot in the offseason? He's not nearly a good a spot up shooter as he was a few years ago. He's a decent jumpshot away from being the best combo guard in the league.
  16. Since I didn't see the 1st quarter of this game I'm pretty sure I haven't seen Salmons make a jumper so far this season.
  17. I don't see much value in him without a slash and kick game. He should be playing in spurts with Rose if he's going to play at all. Also, Noah needs to be out on the floor for 35+ every game. The whole team is better. He's not a threat on offense but we're better with him on the floor. No reason he shouldn't be logging heavy minutes.
  18. These two teams are the epitome of mediocre.
  19. Pargo's worthless.
  20. We have little 3 point shooting to speak of this season.
  21. It's too much with Taj, Vinny. He's doing ok but you don't sit Noah out for nearly an entire quarter to give him burn.
  22. Jackson finally got in the end zone. And hooray for not getting the MIN/GB game on TV!
  23. yeah, did usc lose a lot to the nfl last year? i expected their offense to dip this year with sanchez leaving, but have been really surprised at how poorly their defense has played this year. it hasn't just been tonight either; notre dame moved the ball well and so did oregon st. Cushing, Maualuga, Matthews, and Moala were all drafted in the first two rounds. 8 players on defense drafted overall. I was sort of lulled into thinking the defense wasn't gonna miss too much of beat because they had no problems until Notre Dame in the 4th quarter. Even then, I thought a pro style passing attack was what's gonna hurt them not the spread option game. Obviously, I was wrong on that. This is pretty humbling though. Talent wise, there's no way USC's D should allow Oregon 600+ yards of offense when the other D's on Oregon's schedule have performed better. There's been huge schematic issues tonight.
  24. I think what's most shocking to me is that USC hasn't made any adjustments to stop letting Oregon rip off 10+ yards every play. I knew our offense wasn't going to keep up with the Ducks pace but I thought they'd at least slow them down a bit.
  25. Welp. Nice work Oregon. Every play they're running looks like how you diagram it on the chalk board. I guess Carroll's D was bound to get owned like this one day. Christ.
