  1. The receivers suck just as much as those other units.
  2. When you have an awesome offensive line, an all pro RB and tons of weapons at WR, it's hard not to dominate unless you are Tavaras Jackson All im saying is, he has thrown only 3 INT's this year. 2 have been off tipped balls. He's never played this smart and well at the same time. Its annoying. Hopefully he blows it in the postseason. He's never had a team this good. The 96 Packers were absolutely loaded. One of the few teams in NFL history to lead the league in total offense and total defense. But yeah. This Vikings team is good. And they didn't have "tons" of weapons at WR until Favre got there. Rice was considered a bust until this season wasn't he? Harvin was obviously a great pick.
  3. By the end of the season you'll be talking about the universal conspiracy against the Bears for giving up a run of the mill 3 yard carry.
  4. NO OTHER TEAM HAS 50+ YARD FIELD GOALS MADE AGAINST THEM!
  5. Have the Bears played a complete game all year? One or both units have to be utterly terrible in every game.
  6. I actually turned the game off after the TD that made it 21-7. And now I'm reading that SC kneeled and THEN UCLA called a timeout before SC went for the score? What on earth could you possibly be whining about then?
  7. The idea that Neuheisel would've sat on the ball in a similar situation is pretty laughable. Besides, wasn't it "hilarious" when Stanford went for two when they were sodomizing SC. Ok, that actually was funny but my point stands.
  8. I'm giving Auburn like a 2% chance here.
  9. I don't think so just because if Alabama did lose, they would probably drop to 6th. If they beat Florida they would still have to jump three undefeateds in the human polls. If Alabama lost would you rank them ahead of Georgia Tech tomorrow? That's what I'm thinking but a lot of the talking heads made it seem that way.
  10. no, a 3-loss USC team would get in first This would be a workable joke if it had any precedent at all.
  11. Is it just a foregone conclusion that a 1 loss SEC champ gets in over an undefeated TCU or Cincy or both?
  12. No one who would be in any sort of position to affect things wants Cincinnati in the title game.
  13. I don't see how what he reported was stupid. Because Drudge has a notorious history of jumping the gun and reporting hoaxes? He's not an actual journalist so he's not really held to the same standards as one.
  14. Yeah, everyone is now. It's still dumb on Drudge's part to say someone is "seriously injured" and then link to an article that doesn't say that at all. But it's Drudge and to be expected. That's why they're always first I guess. Anyway, the reports say booze wasn't involved but I''m incredulous to say the least.
  15. Jack Nicklaus cut his brake lines...
  16. http://www.wesh.com/news/21740162/detail.html?treets=orl&tml=orl_break&ts=T&tmi=orl_break_1_01210111272009 Of course Drudge says "seriously injured" and links to an article that doesn't contain the word "seriously."
  17. God this team sucks.
  18. Some of the best offenses in the league can't really run the ball either. New England's middle of the pack at it. Indy, San Diego, Arizona, and Houston are about as bad as the Bears at it. Martz doesn't really thrill me either but it's not because he's pass happy. Many good offenses are.
  19. http://www.forbes.com/2009/05/13/highest-paid-coaches-business-sports-nba.html Apparently Lovie and Fisher are the highest paid coaches in the NFL at 5.5 million? Belichick is at 5 million. http://www.coacheshotseat.com/SalariesNFLCoaches.htm That list says Holmgren was getting $8 million and Shanahan was getting $6 million. I doubt Cowher gets $10 million with the economy and so many good names on the market. I can't imagine someone demanding double what Belichick makes...
  20. Here's a good way to waste 20 minutes: http://www.sporcle.com/games/Wafez/quarterbacks_2000s I got 112 going through the current 2 or 3 deep of the NFL and then filling in the guys who aren't in the league but started a bunch of games. Then I spent the rest of the time on guys who were washed up by this decade but started, good college players who became fringe/emergency starters, and common last names. The guy with the most starts that I missed was Joey Harrington. Missed Griese too.
  21. Cowher can't bring in offensive minds? Mularkey and Whisenhunt were total no names until they worked as position coaches and then offensive coordinators under Cowher and now they're two of the best in the league.
  22. they were eating dinner at 230 in the morning? Yeah, but only because they all got stoned in the grotto first.
  23. he got kicked out off the team. you should have mentioned luther, he choked his girlfriend because she didn't want to watch roots. that's some [expletive] you can't make up. That is effed up. And Jamar was only kicked off the team after he did something else wrong I thought. But that's how every program runs. I think it's silly when everyone brags about how clean their program is. You can't be a college sports fan without pretending to care about the character of opposing players.
