I'd take Harden, Bedard, or Burnett(in that order actually) out of the guys who are mentioned a lot as far as being on the market possibly. Assuming that the Brewers trump whatever we can offer for CC obviously, which it looks like they're going to. What about Tim Hudson though? The Braves probably aren't adding this year, I wish Hendry would look into this option anyway.

I don't see Jocketty trading ANYONE to the Cubs. Same division and other teams would be offering comparable packages, which makes it a lot easier to send someone outside the division as it is. -

The better question may be this actually: What if the older player is the slightly better player in this scenario? Do you trade for him, in going for it this year or do you trade for the younger player who still has some upside he hasn't tapped yet?
