I completely agree with you. When talking about Bonds, people always talk about how he stands close to the plate and can reach the outside pitch easier. But the reason he can do that is because he wears that armor and doesn't have to worry about getting hit in the arm so he can crowd the plate. Didn't Biggio used to have a huge one too?
