  1. It was a regional NLRB director. Not sure how an appeals process works...if it goes to a higher director at the NLRB, or if they have to go to the court system now? Right, the National Director hasn't weighed in yet. Here's what I got on the NLRB v. Canning overview on Oyez: Since Northwestern has already stated that it would appeal, this isn't the final order of the Board.

  3. Very interesting. There are going to be a ton of appeals -- I can imagine this making it to SCOTUS. Speaking of which, anyone here know how the outcome of National Labor Relations Board v. Noel Canning would affect this, if at all? ETA: also, the NLRB hasn't even weighed in yet. This was the regional decision.
  4. I think he's still got something left. It's going to be exciting watching this DL this season.
  5. Haha I didn't get one of them because I assumed one that turned out to be wrong was an absolute lock.
  6. You have stuff on your DVR from 2008?
  7. Bruce Levine ‏@MLBBruceLevine 49m After losing Geo Soto to injury. Texas taking hard look at Cub catcher George Kottaras .
  8. The article says that he has another house in Chicago and had been renting out the place that he's selling.
  9. Ohhh yeah it is. There were a couple responses and a RT about it.
  10. Yeah also I really don't feel like getting into a twitter debate with Parks. We all saw how dug in he was about Javy with Kyle et al.
  11. Yep. Who could have guessed that he would outlast Wood, Prior and Big Z? That's weirder than anything else to me.
  12. That was the biggest takeaway from the post and the quote sums him up perfectly.
  13. I think that's TT transcribing, since the article is not online. Ah, sorry about that. Great job, TT! :D
  14. Improptu? Great job, ESPN!
  15. The calls have been really ticky tack on ISU.
  16. Why is Castro's name spelled wrong in his own Instagram handle? #lazy ETA: i swear I didn't see the other replies.
  17. But yeah I live there now and World of Beer is awesome. So is Ward Eight. It's a lot different than it was even 5 years ago.
  18. I don't remember there being any good bars in Evanston. Then again, the Evanston residents have done everything in their old-money power to make life as boring and terrible as possible for Northwestern students, so..... 1800 Club was awesome until... It was shut down when Northwestern bought the building. Haha.
  19. I graduated from NN in 2005. The Keg was an awesome college bar, the shooting was in the summer of 2005, it didn't allow 18+ after, and is now closed. And yeah, definitely not a place I want for table service of any kind or any day outside of Monday or Thursday, when all of NU was there.
  20. Ah that makes sense. And I'll never forget Orton and the Bears hitting up the Keg then driving drunk back to my dorm. There's a photo somewhere of Hunter Hillenmeyer completely hammered standing in my old hallway.
  21. I can't remember if this has been discussed, but I went there too. Long has sent a couple tweet out on NN... He was working out there for a while. And I have no idea why.
  22. It sounds like a Yiddish pastry.
  23. Mine actually arrived today.
  24. I haven't but I emailed my rep and am waiting to hear back. It seemed like we got them earlier last season...
