    And that's what he thinks the Orioles want, not what they will get. If they are set on trading Roberts, I don't see how we're not in the drivers seat. Bruce has already said Colvin likely doesn't go.

    Eh.. i'd trust Peace alot more than BB. BB's guy seems to throw his own opinion in there, and Peace has been the one that's called the official things correctly in the past.

    Bruce, what are your thoughts on Crane Kenney's comments that the Cubs had already put enough on the table in two trades that he felt confident they could get done? I would assume one of those has to be Roberts, and it would contradict your statement about them never talking specifics of players in the deal (not saying your wrong, just wondering).

    I wouldn't believe Rosenthal's stuff on the Roberts deal yet, he admittedly said that the Cubs wouldn't give up Pie on CSN like 3 days ago.

    Wouldn't that be a major reason WHY they would do it? This might have been mentioned before, but does the team get to use some of that money towards player acquisitions?

    He's been rumored to have signed with like 3 teams already, Cleveland being the latest. Both sides have denied they have a deal in place, though Cleveland is likely the favorites. Boras was supposedly demanding a boatload (like 5 mill), but it sounds like the price is getting a little more reasonable (though obviously still very high). There's been a few guys from ESPN that has said he's been a little overrated to deserve that much money, but we'll see.

    No, and I don't understand why people keep saying that. I've listened to the interview and he never said that. Eh.. I could see how people thought've it like that. The answer was in reply to "are the Cubs going after Santana" and Kenney said he would rather make these two moves then give up what it took for Santana (player and moneywise) considering he only played every 5 days. It's up to your interpretation of whether or not he was just talking about Santana or any other pitcher in that sense.

    Yeah, that twitching wasn't normal. I know someone who has something like that, it's definately some mild condition and not a nervous thing if you ask me. I could be wrong though.

    One other errr..interesting thing Hendry said was that he thinks Dempster's velocity would increase by making the switch to the rotation.

    Was that Lou or Jim? If it was Lou, the lack of mentioning SS as something he's uncomfortable with is a good starting indication that he might try him there eventually. Jim.
