  1. June's getting kinda-sorta close. I'd like to get an arm at 19.
  2. Gammons brought up on ESPN that that Lou would love Fuku in the 2 spot if they could get a run producing CF (sounded like his own speculation and not from Lou) to hit in the 5 spot, and mentioned Milton Bradley as a possibility. Milton's hitting .323/.416/.500 so far.
  3. IIRC, Willits usually has a high BABIP which i'm sure Pecota doesn't like, even though he has shown an ability to sustain it over the years.
  4. I'd rather get Willits and let him stand on 1st 40% of the time in front of Lee, Ramirez and co.
  5. Any way we could throw together an offer for Chris Young? Pie, Cedeno, Gallagher? It would be nice to have a legit number 2 (assuming Lilly doesn't keep at last years level).
  6. Should be Cub -Jarrod Parker- owns Peoria this afternoon going 6 shutout innings with 6 K's. Parker has a 1.31 ERA and 19 K's to 2 BB's in 21 IP so far this year.
  7. Forgive me if this has already been covered, but do we know the timetable for when the bids come in and we find out who won? Please tell me it's within the next couple months.
  8. Who cares about defense in that scenario. That puts the Tigers lineup to shame.
  9. I'll settle for signing Furcal at short, Teixiera at right (Fuku to center), and Sabathia.
  10. We should have a smiley for pulling things out of your ass. It would be applicable here. I made a mistake about "the first offseason" thing that I just realized, but as the hosts and Levine were talking about the big spenders (Yanks/Red Sox) Levine said that he would be surprised if Cuban's payroll wasn't around 175 mill because "that's just the kind of man he is" and even went on to call him the "new Steinbrenner". I don't know if ESPN1000 puts up the podcasts or whatever, but i'm not pulling it out of my ass unless I mixed up a host with Levine, which I don't think I did.
  11. Now that I remember, i'm not sure he threw in "after one offseason". Regardless, he did say he would be surprised if it wasn't around 175 million, I guess over whatever time period.
  12. Sean's dad, have you heard anything on how they plan to use Sean?
  13. On ESPN1000 this morning Levine said that he would be shocked if Cuban's payroll wasn't over 175 Million after his first off season. Just passing that along.
  14. Considering Hill is better than Blanton, I don't see the need to throw in Pie and EPatt...
  15. People will take you seriously if you, just once, address the points they bring up in their posts like they do for you.
  16. Don! 7 IP/5K/3BB/0 ER Tenn wins 6-0.
  17. Made my night :D Any better reports on his hitting (though he's obviously really young)? The article doesn't mention too much concerning if he's a power guy or a slap-speed guy.
  18. Woops. OO did put "all times local" though, fooled me.
  19. Is Iowa PPD or something? I can't get an update on milb.
  20. This was posted during the winter meetings.
