On the other hand, Hendry has treaded water for so long and Dusty defends his coaches so vigorously that it's hard to see this ending without Dusty and his coaches being booted. Can you think of a time when a GM said something like that and the manager didn't get fired? I can't.

    It's pretty much a lock that Dusty is out, GM's only say that stuff about managers when they are about to fire them. The next few weeks should be interesting in Cubbie land.
