Well, they have played 13 games so I'm not entirely sure... I think the offense will be fine and the "questionable" pitching has been solid, overall, thus far. To answer your question, I believe the Cubs longest winning streak last year was 4 games so it was at least 2 seasons ago... I keep hearing the Offense will be fine. It will come around. This is exactly what was said in 2004 and 2005. Are we sure that it will be any better than a middle of the league offense that it is now. the team hit the ball really hard over and over again yesterday, but right at people or into the teeth of the wind. The BABIP for yesterday's game was crazy low Derwood is right on. The hitters didnt strike out until the shadows split the plate. Let me repeat; our first K wasnt until the 10th inning. Our hitters put the screws on the baseball several times and they either were into the wind, and were knocked down, or right at a defender. This team isnt hitting on all cylinders yet. Pardon the pun. We arent the 27 Yankees waiting to break out, but we definately arent the team that lost yesterday on an every day basis.
