I believe they will draft somebody mid-draft and then sign a vet or two to compete over the summer for a chance to back-up. Aaron Murray. I want them to draft Aaron Murray.

Those all seem like weird reasons to not lock someone up. From a planning perspective, it's better to lock in above average play than it would be to risk massive variance all in case some other team does something dumb.

I think it was Wilford Brimley It was Telander, not Morrisey. Telander is an absolute asshat anyway; this is not surprising.

I really like the idea of trying to get Andy Murray with a mid-round draft pick.

One of the biggest reasons you bring him back is that you finally have a really productive offense, and you risk a major step back if you let him go. The defense is still not going to be very good next season, so you have to continue to excel offensively.

Not resigning Cutler would be such a Chicago sports front office move. Really, just do that and you can almost more or less focus entirely on the defense through FA and the draft.

Why do you do an all out blitz on a 4th and 8!?!?!?!?! I was prepared to give Tucker a 2nd chance due to injuries and let him revamp the defense/get his type of players in the offseason, but he should be fired tomorrow morning. Yeah and the team had covered pretty decently all game. Time was on your side. If they convert make a tackle and force them to kick a long-ish FG on your [expletive] ass field. That was such a bad, bad call. Such a bad call. that combined with coaching a team that gives up on a fumble/incomplete pass and walks off the field as its returned for a TD are enough to give him his walking papers. sucks for us all that the derp this week until a decision is made will be about Jay not leading them to victory

my fear is that the stupid, combined with this loss that isn't even remotely on him, means that Cutler doesn't come back and if that happens, [expletive] Bears fans. they deserve terrible QB play.

Anyone who blames Cutler for that loss had their mind made up about it long ago. He played well enough to win. Drops, bad calls by officials, inexplicable play from the defense, and too many 1st half three-and-outs did it today. Not Cutler. Holy hell I wish that last pass would have been batted down. Now thats just additional ammo.

That was a bad decision. Take another shot underneath and give yourself one more play within 25 yards. [expletive] [expletive]. And of course it had to be picked off at the end.

That was just awful. They nearly drop him, and as a consequence Conte lets a guy just run right by him. Bad blitz call. 38 seconds is not enough to score a TD.
