I think it's an excellent example of why Stone would never, ever get hired as a GM. Honestly, he never really says anything that's not rhetorical or general unless it's a game situation. When they ask about player development, potential trades, or anything that requires critical thinking, Stone just repeats himself over, and over, and says just enough to make it appear he knows some insider info. I loved him as a color guy, but as a radio expert/potential GM, I don't care for him, at all. bump to remind people of how idiotic this trade idea is. It's galactically stupid. You trade a 27 yr old entering his prime for a 33 year old at the end of it. All you are doing is shifting production from 3B to LF, since Mueller isn't any better than Murton/Hollandsworth are on average. Plus, you're taking on an insane amount of money. All this deal makes you is older, and it also makes you worse in the long run, since you have less financial flexibility. Stupid trade. That's the kind of poor thinking that gets GM's fired. ARam basically is Manny right now, only cheaper and likely to continue to improve as he hits the peak ages of his career.
