  1. We would have Schwarber/Zobrist/Bryant for left, assuming Contreras is mostly catching. Fowler/Almora in CF. Heyward in RF. Why do we need to keep him? Depth/protection against injury, to face LHP and because we can? Why trade him just because? He's not bringing anything but a nominal return so keep him and let baseball figure itself out. Or do you just want the Szczur's of the world taking up bench spots? We'd be trading him because he's an attractive asset and sooner or later we're going to need another starting pitcher. Given what we have, and given what Soler's shown and not shown, he's the most expendable of that group.
  2. That's not really a thing, especially if Fowler leaves. Even if he stays there's enough PAs/platoon situations to take advantage of. We would have Schwarber/Zobrist/Bryant for left, assuming Contreras is mostly catching. Fowler/Almora in CF. Heyward in RF. Why do we need to keep him?
  3. Also, the solution to at least the OF logjam would be to trade Soler.
  4. If Baez learns to consistently go opposite field like Sammy did then he's going to be an incredibly dangerous hitter
  5. There's no way NSBB can afford a Gibson, Sofa.
  6. I thought ussoccer was worse. At least kyle only believes like half of the stuff he says. Thanks. Always nice to be noticed.
  7. He was a 4-win player this year. I'm going to stand by this unpopular opinion. He's a utility guy whose been overexposed and he hasn't been good in 3 months.
  8. Surprised that didn't somehow result in a hit
  9. Theo will probably respond by trading Javy and we can watch Ben Zobrist putz around for two more years.
  10. We have two hits against an average pitcher. This game is over and if they score first Thursday the crowd will horsefeathers down.
  11. Yeah it's not like a ton of bloopers and seeing eye singles. and we hit the ball hard right at every infield position last night at least twice in extras. Not our best game, but its a series, not a game. When was this? We hit two balls hard in extras and they were both hits
  12. Yeah we never lost back to back games with Wood and Prior pitching in 2003 either, Matt
  13. They are gettIng lucky I agree but they are also getting a LOT of hard contact Yeah it's not like a ton of bloopers and seeing eye singles.
  14. Because he's given up 3 hits and barely any hard contact?
  15. The only actual hitter coming up n the 7th is Javy. Heyward will pop out and Russell will strike out.
  16. Jesus that ball was always going to drop. The hell, Fowler.
  17. Can't wait to see how many singles they get this inning
