  1. Don't ruin his one man crusade against groupthink, or thinking, or whatever it is he's talking about.
  2. Wait, but what's it about, really?
  3. By this you mean the lone dissenting voice has been sufficiently mocked and shouted down. It's been a while since we've had a groupthink meme post. I, for one, welcome it back. Just so it can be shouted down. And mocked. Oh groupthink is alive and well here at NSBB, and on full display in this thread. Is the group "people with a brain"? I'm comfortable being in that group.
  4. Unless you've read it, or at a minimum seen more than just one review of it, then you don't know what the premise and central thesis of the book is. So that press release thing where they flat out state the central thesis was/is a ruse?
  5. The point that the people who can think critically were making is that the premise and central thesis of the book is completely stupid, and completely deserves to be mocked and ridiculed.

  7. The 2nd yellow on RVP was an absolute travesty, but Arsenal didn't deserve to advance based on that performance. A combination of Barca being nearly perfect and Arsenal being pretty horrid.
  8. I'm gonna have to go to the Detroit game. Also looking forward to us beating the hell out of Canada. Also, I'm taking the under on Messi goals. I have a funny feeling Arsenal is going to win this game.
  9. So FIFA ended up making no changes to the number of spots each confederation gets in 2014...and almost immediately Chuck Blazer said that CONCACAF is going to reconsider their new qualifying schedule because of potential fixture congestion ahead of the .5 playoff spot (which will now be a "random" draw instead of our .5 vs CONMEBOL's .5. Meaning the Hex might not get ditched after all, meaning all the [expletive] that Jack Warner pulled ahead of the 2018/2022 decisions (MLS going to a winter/spring calander, the idiotic new qually format, and god knows what else) might all end up not happening.
  10. I'm starting to lose some faith in Wenger, at some point he has to learn from his mistakes. Has he ever replaced Vieira? I know he'd rather win his way than any other, but at some point you have to open the checkbook and buy a keeper, or a central defender who can actually defend. That team is one player away from basically being unstoppable.
  11. That's just horrible defending. How do Arsenal continue to shoot themselves in the foot in the back?
  12. Section 6 is so awesome. They're singing "Seven Nation Army" soccer style.
  13. Eff Gerard Houllier. Why get Mikey on loan if you're going to start the corpse of Robert Pires instead?
  14. I always hear mixed things about the 17's in that it's a lot of good, not great talent. Our U20s are going to be solid, though.
  15. Only out 2-4 weeks, which is good. He looks primed to have a good year for SporkC. Arsenal with a fantastic comebacktoday
  16. Jozy got 80 minutes today in his Bursaspor debut, and had just a sick FIFA11 type spin move on a run that set up the first goal of the game: http://i53.tinypic.com/2n83rk3.gif
  17. Just saw it myself. Wow.
  18. I'm sure if anyone was the issue, it was Carragher.

  20. You know who's absolutely crap? Nani. Yeah, he scored today, but he probably killed like 8 other opportunities by holding on to the ball and then trying a poor shot or getting dispossessed. It's just like having Ronaldo, only without the pace and with like half the ability.
  21. LULZ United.
  22. I thought I might have [expletive] up posting what I did. Pathetic showing, im getting frustrated with Wenger not wanting to spend to fix the problems. I'm not even sure its a matter of spending, to be honest. He shouldn't have removed Walcott, and money can't solve the problems of players being stupid. They condeded two penalties and a wonder strike to level. Obviously I'm biased here, but Arsenal are the kind of team that could use a Bradley or Jones or Dempsey. They need more fight in them, and those guys aren't all that costly. Clint is probably the priciest of the three. Arsenal have so, so much talent, but they fold at the worst times. So many of their players are soft. van Persie, Bentdner, Rosicky...all soft. They never really replaced Gallas as that leader in the back. Look at United. They have less talent that like 5 other teams in the Prem, but the guys they have in the spine of the team are hardasses, and they never ever give up on a game.
  23. Clint equalizes as Fulham and Villa draw 2-2. I think that makes 10 goals in all competitions. Does he have a shot at the Premier League Best XI?
  24. Nice job, Arsenal. How do you blow a 4 goal lead in 30 minutes?
