  1. That looks about right to me. We beat their asses in 2011 with half our team in terrible form. Just go take care of business.
  2. LD strained his hamstring in training for the Azteca game, exacerbated it during the game and hasn't played since. That said...he's been training and is at 85%, and I thought Arena said something about him being close a day or two ago...I suppose it's possible he declined the callup.
  3. Solid. No complaints. EDIT: Gatt out; hamstring injury today
  4. Hahahahahaha Liverpool. Get what you deserve.
  5. What you're saying is that he can get it done on a rainy night at Stoke. Unlike Messi and other Mediterranean and south American players. I feel you, bro. Also, he looks like one of the POWs in "Victory"
  6. Play Clint just under Adebayor, with Dembele behind him along with Parker. Lennon and Bale on the wings. Sigurdsson and Defore for offensive firepower off the bench. Problem solved. You rate Parker over Sandro? I do, but I'm biased because of the whole WWI fighter pilot hair he's got. He just looks like what an English midfielder is supposed to look like. To me, they're fairly comparable. I think Parker offers just a touch more fight/grit/intangible in that DM spot to free up Dembele and Clint to attack.

  8. By all means, build a shrine to an alcoholic idiot who was jointly responsible for torching the opportunity for the franchise to win multiple titles via his meatheaded stupidity. It sounds like a horrible thing to have existed.
  9. Between this and the Henry/Lucchino led Theo fiasco, I am firmly encamped in the "Liverpool/Red Sox" hate department. Those guys are seriously jackasses of the highest order. They sold Charlie Adam for $5m and only bid $4m for Clint? F them.
  10. [expletive] Piers Morgan forever. It probably says a lot about me that after all the abhorrent things that [expletive] has said and done about things that matter, that I finally take notice when he fronts on my favorite soccer player. lollllll He's an Arsenal fan, so we can all taunt him via Twitter during their derby matches when Clint scores.
  11. THIS
  12. SPURSSPURSSPURSSPURSSPURS F YES I hope he hangs a hat trick on Liverpool and twice that on Fulham this year.
  13. Dammit
  14. Now all the reports say Fulham rejected a swap deal and LFC have moved on, and Sunderland is the only team in it now. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
  15. Yet Arsenal haven't scored in 180 minutes and have no EPL experienced depth up front. Pull the [expletive] trigger Wenger. This is one of those times I wish Nike really did wield massive influence with the clubs on which players went where.
  16. This crap needs to end, if for no other reason than we have WCQ in 2 weeks and Clint's our most important player. I'm sure he's fit, but he hasn't had a game since Guatemala away, I think.
  17. F this Sunderland [expletive].

BOYS GENIUS? That's too grammatically correct; you've one of THEM

Turns out Dave Littlefield does not in fact have manure for brains, but actually is one of the 100 smartest baseball minds of all time. It's a travesty we hired the BOY GENIUSES instead of giving Littlefield a shot in an organization he knew well.

AMEN to that. The very fact that Zoolander there is agreeing with you logically should tell you something.
  21. Totally washed up and not worth his contract, right?
  22. I can't imagine a guy with some pretty heavy anxiety issues would ever, ever want to subject himself to the gutter press that is the Boston media. Yeah, I'm really amused that it seems the best case scenario is "we got rid of the guys with personality issues so we have the money to go get Zack Greinke and Josh Hamilton". If their front office would start to collectively act like grownups and not the collection of clowns featured in Treymon's paint art, maybe they'd realize that they've done exactly nothing to address the rampant scapegoating and out of control vitriol over the last 11 months or so. Boston, by doing nothing, would have probably been well tipped to contend again next season. That roster had the best record in baseball before their pitchers all got hurt and they collapsed last season.

  24. Not with all the salary relief they're getting. Did they turn into Kansas City in terms of revenue stream without me noticing? TT said it better than I did. Whatever they're getting back, they have to hope it's as good as what they're giving up, especially Gonzalez.
