  1. I agree with that; I'm frustrated with the Rose camp this season, but that's just pure meatballery. That said, generally question why people would be annoyed with him is just willfully putting blinders on. He has been out a year. Not everyone is Adrian Peterson. There is absolutely reason to question why people are annoyed at rose. There really isn't. He's been cleared to play for 2 months. There's nothing more he can do to get better other than play. Literally not one thing. ETA: I'm not saying you or anyone else is wrong for agreeing with his course of action, but there unequivocally is reason, if one is so inclined, to question Rose. Plus a lot of it stems from how he's been so wishy-washy about the whole thing. People would be annoyed, but it would be much different if he had flat-out said he's sitting out the year as opposed to this "maybe I'm done, maybe I'm not" crap. Yep. If he had come out in January and said he was going to sit out the rest of the year to be 100% ready in October, then people would be annoyed but at least there would be a stance taken beyond nebulous statements of mental readiness.

That said, generally question why people would be annoyed with him is just willfully putting blinders on. He has been out a year. Not everyone is Adrian Peterson. There is absolutely reason to question why people are annoyed at rose. It's an 8-10 month injury. We're at 12. He was cleared to play 6 weeks ago and his idiot brother has been playing power broker via media while Rose makes vague statements of intent.
  3. Holy Hell, are you not reading what I'm posting? Yes, tell me if rose is done as an elite player. What moves can they make to save this team? Nothing. But it's not just a question of whether he's only elite or not. So there really isn't much of a difference if he waits until next season. There is no big move this offseason that could save this team if rose isn't the same. Miami's the clear favorite but I'm not going to say it's impossible for a Rose led Bulls team not to give them a series.
  4. FWIW my response was "[expletive] Reggie Rose".
  5. This guy's argument, boiled down to its core, might as well be that Rose retires since nobody's beating the Heat and he might not be the same player so why even bother to try and find out.
  6. So then no, you didn't play at a world class level. So you don't know how this will effect a guy playing the toughest position in the world against the greatest atheletes. -If he didn't have other structural damage (which nobody's claimed) and he rehabbed it properly, he should be about the same physically. Mentally is a different hurdle, but the only way to deal with that is to go out and play and figure it out from there. Plus, like N&G said, he could come back and not be the same, so it's in everyone's best interest including Rose to find out so that the team can adjust.
  7. Wait, you think his ACL is potentially still "hurt?" I think that the ACL is ok, but I think he might still not be healthy enough to play. I don't know, I've never had that injury. I think there is a chance he could be a different player when he gets back. As a soccer player who's dealt with #nee injuries several times, I can say that coming back from an ACL/MCL injury is not that big of a deal, provided none of the other ligs around the knee were ruptured and you rehab it properly, and you're young. Rose had a simple tear, has access to the absolute best doctors and rehab facilities and is very young. There's very little reason to think he'd not be able to come back and be pretty much the same player. Did you play at a world class level? Where even the slightest drop could be major? Didn't think so. Collegiate level. I played with and against guys that still currently play professionally. And that ended after a ruptured ankle. So I do have an idea of how it works. Plus, it really isn't like once you are a professional athlete the rules of surgery, rehab and recovery somehow are altered. It's the same principle at every level, adjusted for talent.
  8. Except that doesn't apply to anyone other than Kyle Long in this draft. Every other pick has started at least 25 games for his college team. Yeah, only the measly first rounder And the guy who was kicked off this season and the guy last year who missed the entire season. I'm with you on Long but Wilson left the team because Leach was a piece of [expletive]. All the talent is there.
  9. Because his brother is the archetypal dbag family hanger-on that's influencing his quiet, dim brother for some stupid reason. Listen, I'm all for hating Reggie Rose, but what does he gain from this? He's playing caution and making noise so that there's no chance his brother/gravy train stands to lose financially just in case. He's also attempting to leverage the injury into the team making moves the Rose camp wants to see, which always ends in a mess. He's flexing his nuts, essentially. People love to exercise their power, whether real or perceived.

  12. I like this pick. Wilson's a good receiver and at a very good value. I guess it all worked out.
  13. I have no reason not to take him at his word. This just seems to me to be getting awfully close to the Mark Prior towel jokes. Nothings wrong Mark, the team doctors checked your shoulder. Don't remember Prior ever not playing when he was cleared to. They said many times the doctors saw nothing structurally wrong with his arm, that's all doctors have said about rose and his knee, no? There's an immense difference between someone's shoulder and knee. Rose had a simple ACL tear.
  14. Maybe Reggie Rose will allow his brother to play now that he's seen the team fight like hell and win a game they had absolutely no business winning.
  15. Hinrich, channeling his inner soccer player, respects the crowd.
  16. I think those are the first Bulls FTs since Robinson got fouled on the 3. NAZR! AARP forever!
  17. Rogers has first round physical talent. You have to wonder just how bad the character concerns are with this dude that nobody will touch him this late. Without a doubt; I figure you can take the gamble in the 6th round. I figure Brandon Marshall could be a good influence on him. Maybe he'll fall to them with the 572nd pick or whatever is left.
  18. Marv questioned the officiating briefly during the first OT, and I believe the Russian Mob had him liquidated, which is why Kerr is there alone now. He's on Abramovich's yacht/frigate, on his way to be dumped in the North Atlantic somewhere.
  19. that was a perfectly cromulent call The Russian mafia is trying to embiggen the refs here.
  20. Wait, so you can travel and fall around out of control and get the call??
  21. Holy [expletive]. That guy wanted to whistle Deng.
  22. Bulls 133 Gazprom 128
  23. Jesus. That isn't a foul either.
  24. Bulls 127 Gazprom 127
