  1. are you really going to walk the bases loaded after getting two outs
  2. I agree with you. I guess I'm just surprised that he'd be willing to start Soler and trying to figure out the knock-off effect that has on other spots. Joe started Chris Coghlan last night. Is Soler more or less surprising than that? More, I suppose, since at least Coghlan gives you a theoretical advantage against a RHP. Soler hasn't done anything of note in a couple months. There. I've criticized the guy so he can go 1-3 w/ a BB and 2B tonight, too.
  3. I personally wouldn't, but he's been struggling. And for the record, not that my opinion matters, I wouldn't start Soler. His defense is too good, at one of the 2-3 most important positions on field, to sit him. He's shown that even when he looks awful one game he can look fine the next offensively. I agree with you. I guess I'm just surprised that he'd be willing to start Soler and trying to figure out the knock-off effect that has on other spots.
  4. No I personally wouldn't, but he's been struggling. And for the record, not that my opinion matters, I wouldn't start Soler.
  5. I wonder if they'd consider benching Russell, who, HRs aside, has been baaaaaaaad.
  6. Didn't the White Sox play through a pretty steady rain in 2005 during one of their WS games? So long as it's steady but light it should be fine.
  7. Kluber is their best pitcher by far and we looked very good against Miller, and so long as Arrieta doesn't completely blow up we should win this game and head home with HFA.
  8. I wonder if that factored into the decision to have him throw that much yesterday. Eh, if it gets rained out tonight, I assume they'll just make it up Thursday and keep everything else on schedule, so then it's four games in four days that he'd have to deal with. Would delay any potential benefit, and I guess the biggest chance of a blowout is Hendricks vs Tomlin, but not the worst if it gets rained out. Accuweather has a gap in rain from 3-6 eastern time, showers at 7, and then no rain until 11. So hopefully whatever rain happens when first pitch is scheduled is light enough to ignore.
  9. Hopefully the rain holds off for a couple hours, but the forecast doesn't look great.
  10. I mean who needs a #1 receiver when Jay's best years in terms of W's & L's came with a collection of #5 receivers and a special teams guy. /s
  11. Winning tonight opens up a lot of positive outcomes going forward.
  12. Give me a break Rondon. I guess that's why he isn't getting used
  13. Yeah, his ABs have been fine, way better than I expected. I was wrong to think he'd be hopeless up there.
  14. Okay Schwarber here's where you make me look like an even bigger imbecile
