  1. I read that too quickly. My first glance had you putting Blanco at 3B.
  2. Fixed Yes. Yes, you did.
  3. Actually there was a quote from Eyre in the same article. Although he didn't mention having the runs he did say he had a stomach problem from some bad Chipotle I still don't see it, but saying you have a stomach ache is a far cry from having your boss tell anyone who will listen that you could have crapped yourself.
  4. Sample size Seriously, this is a real trend here.... last year, the CUBS were 79-0 when then scored more runs than the opponents, and the year before 89-0. Outscoring the opponents seems to be real important to winning; the CUBS should look into it further !! I just googled, and I have yet to find a team that lost after scoring more than their opponents. I wonder if anyone in baseball knows this? Hmm, we should start a blog or something.
  5. I can't stop laughing about this. I imagine Eyre told him this in confidence, and I'm just imagining his reaction when he heard/read Dusty's quote.
  6. Good thing we had Randy Myers. Too bad we didn't have really good starting pitching for him to get more saves (and yes, I know he had 53 in 93).
  7. Miguel Cabrera gets me back up to 3, let's go Big Papi.
  8. Glendon threw a 4-hitter last year and looked spectacular. Koronka still sucks.
  9. How 'bout Tony Stewart instead of Pratt?
  10. 6'2", 200 lbs, fixed labrum. I'll play center.
  11. Z vs Milton That game should be a bajillion to 2 victory for the Cubs. Milton sucks. I dont know how to judge tomorrow... But remember the 9-inning No hitter against Phillies in 2004? I remember, and if I remember correctly, the Cubs came back and won that game. Nope, they scored 2 in the 9th to tie, but LaTroy kindly gave one back in the bottom for a 3-2 Phillies victory.

  13. Can we change the thread title to Florida or Miami's baseball team or something like that? I'm extremely hungry for seafood now.
  14. No faith in Ohman eh? I do but he's coming off a bad game and I'd rather have a good frame of mind going after the lefties in case it is a tight game tommorrow. I don't understand why Baker went to him so early instead of letting Williams be the first guy in. Williams? or Williamson? Williams. I thougt Williams would be the long relief guy. They were saving him for when the game was definitely out of hand.
  15. I'll still take Wright over both of them. :D Who do you put at 3rd when you move him to 1st?
  16. READ MY POST. You said "I would trade Barrett for a number of catchers straight up". I asked how many of those you listed could be had for Barrett straight up. Me saying I would trade Pierre straight up for Damon, Sizemore, Griffey, Andrew Jones, or Beltran is no different than what you said and proves absolutely nothing. Answer my question and wow yourself.
  17. How many of those can you get for Barrett "straight up"? None because he isn't in their league. Thanks for helping make my argument. Exactly how did this make your argument? That's like saying Pierre sucks and I would trade him straight up for Damon, Sizemore, Griffey, Andrew Jones, or Beltran. I just argued that there were several catchers I would rather have. I have never tried to say he sucks. You said "I would trade Barrett for a number of catchers straight up.", not there were others who are better.

  20. Gameday had Maddux at 80 pitches after Dunn's AB.
  21. I'm secure enough in my masculinity to say that I love Barrett. Oh yes, with all my heart.
  22. Prior regained most of the pop on his fastball when he started throwing again, which is why it looks like he's not that far behind Wood. Burns would've gotten booed after throwing out the first pitch. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y166/christay/boourns.jpg
