Someone is always at the top of the market as you pointed out in the first half of your post. The top of the market doesn’t always mean the highest quality though.
Eh, the Cubs have basically been this all year and Milwaukee has been playing at an unsustainable pace for quite a while. I don’t expect them to suddenly lose 9 in a row, but they’re going to falter a bit soon.
I thought it was mentioned at one point (T-Mac maybe?) that he was very accepting of transitioning into more of a leverage guy vs. closer and has been supportive of Palencia moving into the closer role, but of course I can’t find confirmation of that. I guess it could be all in my head.
