    Who is this Sandberg and did he know Ryne Sandberg? The Mets announcers this weekend were saying Biggio> Sandberg because Craig could produce more runs then Ryno and I nearly blew a fuse. Hurts me to say it, but Biggio has a very good case for being > Sandberg. Blasphemer!

    Do you think the firing just came out of the blue? That he innocently hugged one woman and things were blown out of proportion? An accusation is one thing, Harold was likely fired with cause and probably after previous warnings.

    To potentially plug some of those holes, that's why. Barrett's trade value is likely as high as it will ever be. If dealing him can plug 2 holes and an adequate replacement could be found to take his spot, it would be a great move.

    The Washington Times is saying the reports were exaggerated and that they were nowhere close to a deal. The chicago media over exaggerated? I dont believe it! After Kenny Williams publicly stated McCarthy isnt going anywhere I figured this deal was dead... That Times article hinted at something I read somewhere else (don't remember where) that some of the talk was likely put out there in order to drive Soriano's price up, as if it wasn't already inflated.

    If Kottaras (or another offense-friendly catching prospect) can be had in a separate deal, I would gladly fleece another team for an impact bat at another position. A package featuring Barrett could potentially get Abreu.

    I'd rather Prior work through his issues the next 2 months to get a better idea of how he'll be in 2007. Guzman doesn't necessarily have to be pitching in the majors right now, he just needs to be pitching healthy somewhere. I agree if Prior is truly 100% healthy. Otherwise, he needs to be shut down.

    A - I don't think it's possible to hate U2 too much :wink: B - In the real world, LZ would annihilate U2. well, one band has sold a bazillion albums, and the other has sold 2 bazillion albums, so I guess they are both, what, bazillionaires or something? How many is a Brazilian?
