    It was nice to see and listen to Peter Gammons at the draft last night, even thought it meant having to deal with Harold Reynolds.

    Yeah, if a 20 year old isn't OPS'ing over 1.000 in his first month of AA then we might as well cut him. I don't think it's too absurd to question the future of Vitters. While he is still young, he hasn't exactly been outstanding. His 08 Boise and 09 Peoria numbers were good, but there's been a lot of mediocrity around that. It's not absurd to wonder if he'll be a good major leaguer, but it's pretty absurd to give up hope on a 20 year old that's struggling in his first month of AA. I don't see where anyone was giving up hope.

That makes more sense, but that still means they're making the pick without that knowledge. Yeah, the pick at the time was a bit of a head-scratcher. I really hope Wilken knows what he's doing.
