    he was right to try advancing there and just ran into bad luck with the ump blocking the ball, Coghlan is the real scourge for not following him to take 2B which would've put the game into extras with the 2-out hit no, Coghlan made the right read. and even if he had gone, it's very unlikely that the hit would have gotten through with the 1B playing normal depth.
