  1. Is Dusty to blame for anything that's happened tonight? This game has been about the pitchers (and our hitter's inability to score with RISP). Capuano's quick move prevents the runners from getting much of a lead so it's not like the hit and run is a good idea to stay out of the DP. Maddux has now put this one out of reach at 5-0 Doesn't matter if he did anything bad tonight or not. Bottom line is that someone has to be accountable. It's not any one player's fault that the team blows, but it is Dusty who has seen his team decline from an NLCS team to the worst in baseball in 3 years. The team has quit on him, and he no longer deserves to coach this team. I don't buy the idea that they "quit on him." They may have quit on themselves. Anyway, my response was about tonight's game and most of it was written while the score was 3-0. However, I do agree that a manager is accountable for poor play.
  2. If we had any kind of competitive team we'd be right in the middle of the divisional race. The Brewers will only be 5 games out at the end of the day (unless the Cardinals come back from their 8-2 deficit).
  3.   Our pitching sucks. 6 runs isnt going to cut it!
  4. 2B isn't the problem tonight. We've gotten 3 for 4 from that spot. However, it would be nice if the middle of the lineup was hitting...

Maddux has now put this one out of reach at 5-0 Yeah, you're right...dusty is completely without blame...his entire tenure here. Silly me. Give me a break. You and I were both talking about tonight. My point was .... Baker has continually, routinely, constantly made excuses about the teams poor play. the entire year. And probably after tonight as well. Give me a break. They haven't gotten a hit with RISP but I wouldn't say the team (batters anyway) has played poorly tonight. Up until last half inning, Maddux was pitching well also. Capuano has pitched nicely and its not like it's the first time this year...

  7. Detroit has increased its lead over the Astros to 8-4 with men at the corners and no outs in the bottom of the 8th.

  9. In happier news, Cleveland just put a 4 spot on Marquis and they lead 6-2 over the Cardinals. WTH????????? Fielder :x :x :x :x
  10. I hope Aramis stays away from that pitch off the plate.
  11. He struck him out! Maddog looking good tonight
  12. In other news, I'm enjoying the Astros trailing the Tiger 6-4 in the 7th. Hopefully, it continues...
  13. Yeah, he made Maddux work. I thought Maddux was going to give up that run on third but I'm glad he didn't. Come on Cubs!
  14. I'm here lurking. I appreciate the work Fred puts in!
  15. Keep up the good work Len. I appreciate the honest analysis between you and BB.
  16. They can have them both if the Cubs get some good prospects in return.
  17. I've never seen him write anything positive about the Cubs. IIRC, Perry is a Cardinals fan.
