Thanks. Good thing they didn't have the new guy who likes to beat up nerds sing. ??? Ricky Manning Jr...the new corner the Bears just signed an offer sheet to. He and his posse beat up some guy in a Denny's for being a nerd because he was using a laptop. No, I did not make that up. I heard earlier on The Score that the story has changed and that it wasn't him but one of his friends that confronted the guy. Either way, it was stupid. -

Dontrelle is a tough lefty. Pierre doesn't normally strike out pierre caught willis on the side regularly when he was in florida. he shouldn't be getting fooled like he is, especially after watching the guy pitch for years. I read that too but I think it's different when you face him with a bat.

Neifi's is bad but, the Sox's Juan Uribe has to have the worst swing in baseball. He said "one of." He and Uribe can both have among the worst swings in baseball if they want to. And it really does look like Neifi is trying to pound the ball into the ground when he swings. Some people complain about uppercut swings - that's nothing on Neifi's fourty-five-degrees-downwards swing. Oh, and I'm with the expectations crowd. I think people are less POd at Neifi primarily because he's not meant to be a regular in the lineup, he's not batting in the middle of our order, and he's not a corner outfielder. I'm sure the strikeouts have something to do with it, plus the fact that he usually hits for about a .275 average, which doesn't look as bad as he truly is. That's fine. I'm sure he doesn't need you to defend him. I was making a statement about Uribe while also agreeing that Neifi's is bad.

Maddux threw 93 (?) pitches in his last start. Perhaps, they feel that the extra day will be beneficial for him. That is hardly an extraordinary number of pitches. He's averaged 92.2 for his career, and threw more than that several times last season. I think it has a lot more to do with their irrational faith in Rusch, since, you know, he's "proven" and everything. I think they have less faith in Rusch than ever but want to give Maddux an extra day. It can only help Maddux in the long run.
