    Yeah, I dunno. Part of me thinks that and then part of me thinks that KB is just such a nice dude that he's not going to be an ass and is the type that goes along to get along. Yeah, I don't know if he was on to anything or not, but I wouldn't expect KB to respond any differently either way. He kind of gave an annoyed "that's the goal" or something as a response iirc. yeah i think that's how you know he wasn't just playing along. That's probably super pissed KB.

    WHY DO WE WANT LESS BASEBALL? This stuff is so stupid. I'd rather they add 2 more roster spots and make the games 11 innings. Make everyone play in a dome and play year round. There's literally nothing interesting going on until those 2 weekends in March when NCAA hoops are fun and we're talking about ways to reduce the amount of baseball we get to watch? horsefeathers off.

    Frankly, I'm surprised by the default unwilllingness to discuss seriously any POV coming from a conservative, but that's probably because I'm a foreigner. I'm so horsefeathering tired of reading broad characterizations about the entire horsefeathering board like there's some groupthink going on just bc 99% of the board falls into the group of 280,000,000 americans that think trump is a piece of horsefeathers. and oh btw, we all thought trump was a piece of horsefeathers 10 years ago when he was a democrat. so this has nothing to do with being liberal. but the notion that chicago is massively liberal is horsefeathering hilarious.

    Ross wasn't so much signed for chemistry as he was a personal muse to Lester. That and everyone needs a backup catcher, few of which are going to be able to hit their way out of a wet paper bag. Kawasaki's a mascot and to grant the media their 'look, the Chinaman (yes, I know) thinks he's people' interviews. Okay ... I haven't checked this thread out in awhile ... but explain that last part to me? Kawasaki was signed to be a mascot and to grant the media their ... "Chinaman" (I mean, in this day and age, most baseball media would be more surprised with a Chinese baseball player, there's Taiwanese, Japanese, and Korean, but off the top, no "Chinaman", but that's almost a political issue, so forget it) fetish (fetish isn't even the right word, but I'm not sure what to make of "look, the Chinaman thinks he's people" considering that Asian Americans have been in baseball for long enough now?) Perhaps I'm missing some sort of joke in there that I'm not aware of, as I've never really followed individual poster's and their habits, but I'd argue that Kawasaki has a career because he's a capable defensive sub, and that the Cubs could use someone like that to call up in a pinch. that sentence is an embarrassment.

    looks like we only have 3-5 confirmed teams (i'm assuming there are managers who just don't check this forum or don't care to reply, which is not unlike how this league operates during the season too). keepers are usually due on valentine's day but we're a long way from having the teams ready. so are we putting this league out of its misery? or does someone have a bunch of good managers ready to step in?
