The Cards won't get either. For anybody to get Adam Dunn, means they have to deal prospects period. Giles is on a team pushing for the playoffs, they wont trade him.

My guess is they started their run too early this year. I predict the Astros melting down towards the end. They can't sustain a run for 60 games.

Through all the comments users have posted here, I don't think any have posted what Hawkins directly said about the fans here in Chicago. Bob Brenly spoke about in today's telecast, and specifically said that he doesen't think the boos were bad. Hawkins has made references, saying the fans can "screw off" and his performances aren't for the fans. Hes said he doesent pitch for the fans, and doesen't care what they think. Brenly specifically said that Hawkins has said stuff about Chicago fans, that weren't exactly nice. -

Dude, optimism at this point is moot. The Cubs have BARELY won the games vs St Louis, and Frisco. I mean we have gotten totally lucky. The Cubs SHOULD have won 6 in a row. They lacked driving in runners in scoring position. The team as a whole is not doing well, and IS choking. To win the wild card, we need win streaks. I tip my cap to the Astros, looks like they'll win it again this year.

I hate to be rude and mean, but the Cubs REALLY suck as of late. I mean, its beyond the normal suckage. These are major league hitters that coulden't drive in RISP for their life.

Exactly. Our starters haven't done too well this season in general. The bullpen is taxed AND the Cubs need starters to go deep in games.
