  1. Hollandsworthless...........PLEASE GET A HIT! Is it safe to pin this loss on Barrett, if we do indeed lose?
  2. If Barrett strikes out, my heads gonna explode.
  3. Otis, we need to win every single game from here on out my friend. GJ Neifi with a two bagger. Have to hit a DEEP fly for Rammy to score on a sac.
  4. Walker strikes out when we needed anything but a K
  5. Anyone else frustrated to see DLee and Aram, grimacing after almost every play?
  6. I know Millwood isn't exactly a stud, but I'd like what he brings to the Cubs. Maybe somebody else, like a Wakefield, or something if Boston could part with him.
  7. Somewhere in the bowel's of Dusty Baker, he's got to be pissed off about the Cubs taking ZERO walks tonight. Didn't he call that his gameplan for tonight? "Take walks dudes, so we can, you know, get a dubya tonight."
  8. Well I never knew we had Greg Maddux, I totally forgot..... I'm saying we need ANOTHER Veteran pitcher. If you have too many rookie/young pitchers, and not enough Vets, you don't have the playoff experience needed down the stretch, and IN the playoffs. For example, the Astros have Clemans/Oswalt/Pettite. All 3 are proven playoff pitchers.
  9. I think what the Cubs need, is a seasoned playoff pitcher. A veteran that can teach these pitchers how to work, and study opponents.
  10. Yeah, but all rookie pitchers own the Cubs.
  11. The Phillies outta trade Thome for a good SP.
  12. Why should I be positive, other then it being more healthy? Theres absolutely no reason to be positive about our baseball team. Once we get back all the men on Friday, I'd love to see Hendry/Baker's next excuse for the Cubs sucking rocks. Nomar just isn't the end all answer like people think it is. Our pitching hasen't been good at all, either has the offense. We need one of the two to be clicking.
  13. I hope Burnitz isn't re-signed, hes been average offensively for a corner OF.
  14. Anyone else get afraid to see DLee dive? I feel like an arm or a leg will fall off.
  15. This is like the fourth game in which theres been whining of the umpiring on balls and strikes. Its our team that is sucking, not the umpires. At the other team boards of the Yanks/Red Sox theres never complaining of officiating. Because you have Arod/Manny/Matsui blasting bombs off of all pitchers. I'm afraid our offense is too streaky this season to be all that effective.
  16. Tejada making our best hitters, look like Jose Macias.
  17. Blueheart, I gotta hand it to you, you're a nice Cubs fan. I've turned into an evil, pessimistic creature, to which I don't think I can ever be human again.
  18. I don't think so. I'm feeling the false hope of the Cubs scoring 5 runs this inning. So does Baker stick with JW, or bring in Rusch?
  19. JESUS CHRIST. Turn the freaking double play!
  20. We need to get a SP this offseason. I don't think Jerome Williams and Rich Hill can get us to the playoffs.
  21. I don't believe ive ever uttered that statement. However theres not alot of reason to be entirely optimistic right now. The Cubs are barely treading water, and with a 40% DLee we're in DEEP trouble. As I type this DLee botches a play.
  22. I got a feeling their rookie's gonna 2 hit us the entire game.
