  1. Here, I'll say it since nobody else has said it. OMG WHY ISNT BAKER PLAYING CEDENO!?!!1?!?1//
  2. Win you bums! EARN THE MONEY YOUR BEING PAID!
  3. Strikeouts are a little overrated. Chan Ho got the job done regardless. An out is an out.
  4. GS IP BB SO W-L ERA Wood: 174 1,097 533 1,269 70-53 3.68 Park: 176 1,184 560 1,098 80-54 3.80 Wow. How similar.
  5. If he does not bat Lawton in the leadoff hole, I will go ape-poop. Seeing what he said about the trade, makes me believe hes thinking twice about putting somebody else in leadoff. Anyone else get that feeling?
  6. I don't know if anybody noticed this particular detail of the trade, but Via the Tribune. What a steal!
  7. Some people are never happy. Hendry's at least trying. He might even give Lawton an extension. We could be fans of Cincy, or Texas, who have ZERO chance of getting better.
  8. Why are people so whacko for Rich Hill? This guy is average at best, and this team is in a severe need of a shakeup. Soriano is the BEST second baseman in the league offensively. He is still young, and knows how to play in front of pressure (NY). I'd love for the Cubs to get him.
  9. I was in Hawaii, and I saw Dave Kingman! I was staying at the JW Marriot, (where the NFL players stay for the Pro Bowl) and I was eating breakfast at the buffet. Wearing my Cubs hat, and Prior shirt, the man in a table next to me says "Nice hat." I turn around and I see an aged Dave Kingman smiling, with his 12 year old looking son right there with him. I was a little floored, but I began talking with him about the Cubs, and the season of 2004, and the current season. He was shocked to see that I knew about his career in detail. He said he understood the fans and how frustrated they are. He mentioned that he feels we have a great contending team, and that he'd love for us to win a WS. He said he loved Chicago, and he loves Cub fans. We talked for about 10 minutes, then I let him and his son get back to breakfast, I didn't want to overdo my fandom. Just wanted to share that experience, maybe some of you might find it cool. :)
  10. I'd like to know some opinions on him. Do you think he has the stuff/talent to be a valuable guy in the major leagues? Do you feel its a good time to trade him away for a bigger talented player? Is he the most MLB ready pitcher in the Cubs organization, is he the most talented amoung them all? I'm interested in hearing what others have to say. :)
  11. I have faith in Corey Patterson, and I believe he'll come around again. He seems like such a nice guy too.
  12. You can't honestly complain about these puny strike calls. It shoulden't come down to that. In the past 8 games, theres been complaining about umpires. I believe the past 10 games the Twins have had a better offense then the Cubs.
  13. If you're gonna press your panic buttons, the time is now. This team is in dire trouble. You have the Marlins playing well, and getting solid pitching. The Phillies hanging around. Houston is winning every single game. The Mets on the verge of getting AWESOME players. Meanwhile the Cubs can barely score 2 runs a game. Aram is hurt, DLee is slumping, a rehabbed version of Nomar coming back, and a bad leadoff hitter. I dont mean to be negative, but I'm being truthful.
  14. Why? Because for some odd reason I love the Cubs? Anyways I'm leaving, the games over, ill vent another way. Cya.
  15. The Chicago Cubs, Dusty Baker, and their lineup drives any REAL fan crazy. This play is absoutely pathetic. I have watched every single game of this team, in 2004, and in 2005. I expect alot better, and I'm sick of watching this 2nd half meltdown routine. The Cubs have 4 outs to hit a home run. Since thats the only way they can score.
  16. This team sucks. They deserve to lose the wild card spot, and hopefully lose all the games from here on out, so Hendry gets to blow up the team. DLee is not a triple crown winner, hes flat out been lucky. He'll revert to his old self next season I'm sure. You can't rely on him all the time.
  17. Jesus, this team sucks. Hendry NEEDS to get a LF bat. Relying on a rookie for alot of offense is stupid.
  18. Man, this team is so lucky to be over .500. That was so horrible by DLee, what was he thinking?
  19. Hairston, Aram, and LEe have STUNK the past 4 games.
  20. Aram and Lee have been looking horrible, lately.
  21. I have to be honest, hes looking good, but Hill's pitches all suck, except his curve. He needs to develop some different pitches.
  22. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20050730&content_id=1150688&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb No Winn for them.
  23. Luis Gonzo reminds me of Nomar so much, its frightening.
