  1. agreed and it's proof Wilken and by proxy Hendry don't know what they heck they are doing. Should've drafted Porcello.
  2. Wha, wha, what? Somanonom beach. Hopefully it means Upton or Crawford and not Starlin Castro or Sam Fuld.
  3. So hes more like the asian Kaz Matsui. and I thought that trades couldnt be made until midnight after the end of the WS. Was this a waiver deal or something? No Kaz Matsui is the asian Aaron Miles. Iwamura is a mediocrity but he's at least a league average performer at 2B who can also play 3B in a pinch.
  4. He's the asian Mark Derosa. He's gritty and can play multiple positions. Also he has no power.
  5. Hendry is a idiot if he doesn't pick him up. Rich Hill is good.
  6. There are some pretty interesting rumors being floated, especially by Levine. Sounds like Hendry may be trying to trade Soriano. If Soriano is moved, maybe Burrell makes sense in LF. But I agree, Burrell doesn't seem to have a place on the team as it stands. He can try but no one with any sense will take Soriano without eating a bunch of the contract. So I guess that leaves Brian Sabean. Don't worry about getting a mlb player for Bradley get a prospect and eat the contract. Make a concerted effort to get Upton or Crawford and use them as the centerpiece of a rebuilding effort after this season.
  7. No such thing Wilken sucks.
  8. Id rather have Bradley than the majority of the other options out there, but from what weve heard, thats not going to happen. Stop playing Xbox. Bradley sucks.
  9. plays world's smallest violin for the great fans . Some of us don't want to trade Bradley for pennies on the dollar and have to either hope Sam Fuld/Ty Colvin becomes a adquete baseball player immediately or Jeremy Hermida turns into Jayson Werth redux at roughly 7.5-10 mill per (once you factor in Bradley's salary). But it has to be the fact I play too much Xbox.
  10. Yeah guys, stats are for video games! Show me stat that measures heart! Milton Bradley is a nuclear terrorist. I guess he had 6 strikeout games, too. He doen't have the mindset for Chicago, even though he was excellent at Wrighley this year. That doesn't matter though, because even Ryan Theriot doesn't like him! How can anyone not get along with a guy as awesome as Ryan Theriot?????? Sam Fuld for RF in 2010!!! He seems like a great guy! Hopefully, they can trade Lee and pick up Darin Erstad to play 1B and David Eckstein to play 2B.
  11. barry bonds thinks you should be his new agent. agreed, Barry Bonds was the reason the giants never won a title while he was there. Nothing to do with the fact that they were trotting mediocrities and washed up vets at almost every other position he when he was there.
  12. which is why I guarantee they will screw him up. Darwin Barney is probably the future at SS.
  13. He would hit 900 HRs a year if he leaves petco. Also J.R. Tolken will be better player than Geo Soto.
  14. Almost as good the sabr inclined getting all hot and bothered over this season's Adam Dunn in Brad Hawpe.
  15. If Hendry made the trade for Burrell and then he rebounded and we were out of it at the deadline, he'd be a great trading chip to an AL team. Of course, Bradley probably would too . . . If Hendry is the GM at time of the deadline and we are currently out of it. I will do everything in my power to bankrupt ameritrade.
  16. LOL Washington wouldn't sign him. I look for the cardinals to sign him.
  17. Theo is a idiot though. He gave away David Aardsma for practically nothing!
  18. If that the case then it sounds like Hawpe is like a more talented version of Micah Hoffpauir, a first basemen playing the OF. So what if we had to settle with Hawpe at RF for 2010, and then move him to 1b after Lee leaves? Then what do you do with Aramis in two years or so when he becomes troy glaus redux. And you have possibly vitters ready?
  19. correct, Eyre sucked and Aardsma got let go by Kenny Williams and GMJesus before he found a home in Seattle. Maybe it has to do with the extremely flukey nature bullpens are.
  20. Bradley (2009) .257/.378/.397/.775 Rowand (2009) .264/.320/.428/.748 Bradley (career) .277/.371/.450/.821 Rowand (career) .281/.340/.450/.790 Did I cherry pick the wrong stats? Do you see any significant difference except OBP? Factor in (as pointed out by hossdriver) Bradley plays worse defense, is a clubhouse cancer, and misses a ton of games each year and I don't see how "they're not close". As I pointed out before, I'm sure there are more obscure stats somewhere to prove your point. Where does the fact Bradley has played most of his career in pitcher's parks (Petco, Dodger Stadium, and Oakland) compared to Rowand playing his most of his career in the Cell and Citizen's bank bandbox?
  21. No, he's not he only has a career OPS+ of 103. I'd rather get Carlos Pena and play him in RF. Maybe get Nick Swisher to play CF and SS.
  22. If there's anywhere where the cubs could give up a quality prospect it's in the middle infield is really all I'm saying. I'd really like to keep Castro but if someone asked about him I wouldn't hang up the phone on them either.
  23. Go for the bigger package. The problem is the package would likely consist of at least Bradley, Vitters, 1 of Cashner/Jackson/Carpenter and probably another prospect, and wed probably turn either guy into Juan Pierre. Done. It's not those prospects would turn into superstars with the cubs. Because if the cubs can turn proven players into bad players they would turn those prospects into really bad players. I doubt the rays would want Vitters anyway. They would probably want Castro since they are already are set at the corner infield spots for the forseeable future.
  24. Slim and none. One will be in pinstripes the other will be in Boston Grays.
