  1. Do you mean could have if the Cubs could have been smart enough to trade Sosa earlier and get a player LIKE A. Jones? Or was this deal specifically rumored/on the table/discussed? Those with better memories can help me, but a few years ago the Braves were shopping Jones, and Sosa's value was still quite high at that point. There were many who advocated Sosa for Jones.
  2. Len says the Cubs have never given up more than 7 HR in a game. Let's root for 8, Cubs fans!
  3. Haha. Stupid Braves keep hitting solo homers.
  4. DOUBLE SWITCH! BYNUM IN FOR MURTON! If we lose this game, it's not because Baker isn't managing his butt off.
  5. Remember when we might have gotten Andruw Jones for Sosa?
  6. Where are our power hitters today?
  7. Dear Len and Bob - I've got a funny story for you. I was watching a Cubs game last year and my toaster caused an electrical fire. Even though my house was on fire, I stayed in the living room Jeromy Burnitz won the game with a single in the bottom of the 9th. There are third degree burns over 90 percent of my body now. Go Cubs!
  8. Can we trade him somewhere, so he'll get called up and dominate us? We'd be a .500 team if he had been throwing BP since the beginning of the year.
  9. We are wreaking HAVOC on the basepaths. HAVOC. HAVOC!!!!
  10. Or, if we're convinced Rusch can continue to pitch well in the near future, we start him a few times and trade him for a minor league 2nd baseman.
  11. Who else you gonna run out there until the injured guys get back? Nobody else has done anything to warrant getting the spot. John Koronka? Oh wait. Ricky Nolasco? ...oh wait.
  12. Speier's watched Jones in RF so much this season that he forgot what a good throw looks like.
  13. Doesn't Laroche have diagnosed ADD? Or am I thinking of someone else? lol so r u saying it was hit too slow that Laroche got bored and couldn't pay attention long enough? http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-braves-larochesdilemma&prov=ap&type=lgns yep
  14. Yeah, that would be a good strategery to start off the 3rd.
  15. Doesn't Laroche have diagnosed ADD? Or am I thinking of someone else?
  16. Remember folks, that's our new game plan: hit the ball on the ground and hope the other team messes up.
  17. Pffft. If that was a Cubs pitcher, he wouldn't have been covering first. Keep watching, Glendon will show you how it's not done.
  18. Baseball players aren't athletes. Smoltz gets hurt running 60 feet.
  19. Easy. He is a good prospect. The key word being PROSPECT. Carlos gave up 7 runs in 4 innings in his first start. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=210820316 Don't judge Ryu by this one game.
  20. I feel terrible for Ryu, but I'm happy the Cubs are finding a way to lose.
