  1. Well he didn't embarass himself out there last season. He's average with the ability to be good in the outfield. He'll never win a gold glove but then again, his bat is his calling card.
  2. Chad who?? (just kidding). He can play, no doubt about that.
  3. Indeed it is.. 6:05 CDT.. we will probably have a pre-game show around 6:00 or 5:50 p.m.
  4. I'll take Randy Moss over T.O. anyday of the week. They are both a pain to deal with but Moss is the better receiver and player. He is also the more mature of the two (but not by much). Sickening that we actually talked about THAT.. and not Diamond Jaxx baseball.. BTW, the Jaxx are off to an 0-3 start in the exhibition season. Not to worry though because we aren't playing with our full roster.
  5. I'm beginning to think that he doesn't want me to talk about baseball whenever I am on his show.. I am SO sorry for the people that listened in tonight.
  6. Once again, I will be on the Cheap Seats with Seabass tonight (Wednesday, March 22nd) from 6-8 p.m. CDT. Hopefully there will be no earth-shattering story that keeps Bass and I from talking Diamond Jaxx baseball.
  7. We will be carrying the Diamond Jaxx exhibition game against Lambuth College on our flagship station, Newstalk 101.5 WNWS on Wednesday, April 5th at 6:05 p.m. CST.
  8. Guzman because he is the best pitcher of the four, provided he is 100%. I would also pick Guzman because I think the Cubs need to see what this kid can do in the show. Keep in mind, this isn't a full-time gig unless Prior or Wood are gone for a longer period of time.
  9. Actually, I forgot about the exhibition game against Lambuth. I honestly don't know if we will be broadcasting that game. It would be nice though.
  10. I didn't think sponsors were that important.. you guys can find out on opening night in Birmingham.. (I got to keep SOME things a secret.. lol)
  11. Nope, they past on doing radio as well.. no signature sauces this summer.. :(
  12. Don't get me started.. they bailed out on me this year.. no burritos sighting this summer
  13. You got me confused with Nathan. I haven't nor will I be going to Mesa. I got too many things to do in Jackson.
  14. I like Thomas.. he's a good guy to have in the clubhouse. As far as his pitching goes, he should start the year in West Tenn. Unfortunately for Thomas, age is starting to become a factor so he needs to have a big year. I don't think we have seen his "career year" yet. Hopefully we see it this year with the Jaxx.
  15. Both Marshall and Hill take a backseat to Guzman. Honestly, I don't think that this is a slap in the face of Hill, rather it's Marshall stepping up and showing the front office what he is capable of when he is healthy. Hopefully Marshall gets off to a great start and stays healthy all season long. As for Hill, He's a good looking player who should start the year in Iowa with Guzman. Both of these guys should get time in the show this season.
  16. Yes ladies and gents, that's the Mayor of Jackson, TN.. the guy who supposedly represents our fair town with the utmost in class. Jackass..
  17. Nathan, it must be nice to be able to go to Mesa. I'm stuck in Jackson trying to sell, sell and (oh by the way) SELL!!!
  18. The show will be on from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14th. In answer to your question, the school in question is a private school and had two ineligible kids. Apparantly, the kids in question didn't pay their tuition.
  19. Go figure, on the night Bass and I are supposed to talk baseball, one of the high school athletic program's got busted for illegal stuff, forcing that team to give up their state championship in baseball. At any rate, I will be back on the show Tuesday, March 14th. Supposedly, we will be talking Jaxx baseball as well as major league baseball. DJAXX, I'm glad that the audio was solid. Hopefully, that will be the case all summer long.
  20. He still needs to work on his change-up but there is alot of potential there. The biggest thing Carlos needs to do is continue to make the transition from position player to pitcher and work on his control. He has three pitches (fastball, curve, change) that could very well be above average major league quality pitches when it's all said and done.
  21. e-mails will be taken though I am not sure of Sea-Bass's e-mail address.. I believe it's seabass@wnws.com
  22. I thought Rocky was solid in his three starts before he got hurt. I'm looking forward to seeing him on the mound, hopefully for a full season this summer. T minus 30 days and counting...
  23. Anybody that wants to listen in over the internet can do so at http://www.wnws.com The show will be on from 6-8 p.m. Actually, if you folks listening in tonight can let me know how easy it is/was for you to get the feed and how good the feed sounds quality wise, I would appreciate it. We are trying to make the internet feed both easier to get to and better quality wise this season. Of course, having equipment that will make me sound like I am next door to you folks will help out tremendously.
  24. I don't recall seeing the sinker or two-seamer last year, but my memory isn't what it should be. Honestly, I think Randy is one of those guys that could flourish in either scenario but I doubt if he becomes a starter right out of the gate this year. It all depends on the health of Cherry and Connolly.
  25. His future is as a starting pitcher.. no question about it.
