Now not to beat a dead horse but doesn't marx writing hint at that the state will wither/fade away? and the people will work according to what they can and recieve according to their needs? (Sounds utopian to me but just my opinion(really not trying to be arguemntative it jsut seems utopian to me), besides i have not read a biography of marx. just a piece or two of das Kapital) and the brainwashed macarthism, i cant be offended by it but thats just me. I just can't picture people (heck even exceptionale people) not trying to get a little ahead of everyone else. I just don't see it as a common human characteristic. But i have been mistaken before and will be again . i need to go dig out all my old notes on the stuff i have read or maybe :gasp: Re read them

good to know i'm not the only one who thinks like that..... and on a random tangent Marx had some good ideas, who here has actually read the manifesto?(not meant as an insult) I have and I think marx laid out good ideas, but he didn't account for what I would call the human element, also its not his fault his ideas were perverted by some power hungry soviets.

98 years of enjoyed(well a few parts) yet fruitless baseball........ I'd prefer a win(regardless of how crummy they look while providing it). Maddux needs to be on his game sunday. at minimum dont let albert beat you by himself.(i personally wouldn't show him a single fastball during any at bat, in fact i'd buzz him high and tight a couple times try to get him out of his comfort zone.....worth a try anyway) In Maddux we trust........

Ok....Maddux needs to keep himself in this mid 90's style groove he has been on. i think if we can find a way to plate 3 or 4 runs we can win this game. Maybe aram can step it up for a bit. atleast avoid double plays.

thanks for clearing that up. Just couldn't remeber. p.s. I haven't given up hope yet tried to make a joke to ease the pain.....didn't work. Walker can handle 1st for a bit just wish he didn't have to.

Well, Lee is out for a while now this will seem a dumb question. But didn't Barrett play at 1st for a while or was he on the hot corner? I think he was at third but i'm not sure. So Mike Sweeney could be bought off the royals....Dear god did i just say that......Desperation is a stinky cologne.

#2 nebraska takes both games in a DH vs kansas showcasing high quality starting pitching an a strong closer. now not that kansas is texas or anytihng they didnt do 1/2 bad id say they did more along the line of 3/5 good.............tomarrow they aim at the sweep...

just generally angry. i mean 2nd pitch swinging and he pops out just doesnt seem right for a guy who gets moved to lead off.
