I think he's still a little gimpy. He didn't look full strength coming around to score on Floyd's hit. I think that's why the ball skipped by him. That could be, wasn't a pretty route.

I saw him in person yesterday. One of his outs was a flyball into the rain about 405 feet. The guy is a monster hitter. If he keeps raking like this Gordon is going to feel the pressure. -

So I guess the Cubs celebrated too much when they beat Atlanta a few years back? Ridiculous. That team hadn't won a playoff series in well over a decade. Then they beat the "great" Mavericks.

after this half inning I'd rather it happen now, but if you say so don't they have to play the bottom half to make it official? I thought it was just 5 complete innings for an official game? Yes, but if losing, doesn't the home team need one last AB? Yes, I believe we can actually lose now if they call it. Since they can expunge our last half inning. I think this is exactly the situation that they altered in the rules over the winter. Isn't this where they would suspend the game and restart from this point tomorrow before the 2nd game? Oh I just know it was the case a couple years ago. I remember Stoney and Chip talking about it.
