  1. Would everyone be content if he was the backup catcher? Or does he have to start? Why not let him backup at the least? Oh, I definitely want him to come up and be the backup catcher. I'm just wondering for the people calling for Soto if they think he has to be the starter to be productive (as has been said for other young position players). I would love for him to replace Koyie Hill, but I think Kendall should get most of the PT at catcher right now. Thats fine, but we are giving away 4 outs a game with Hill up here. We don't have a good enough team to get away with that.

  3. If only. We are pissing away a division title.
  4. people have proven that lineup order has little affect on outcomes of games Not to mention that why people have been saying this, Theriot has been terrible lately before today: Here's his August line: .288/.306/.339 And here is his last 7 days: .250/.241/.286 Both of those are coming into play today. stop ruining Cynosure's perceptions of reality! So show me your 'people' that have proven it doesn't matter who your leadoff hitter is. Bill James has pretty much proven that lineup order doesn't matter. Line-up order doesn't matter? Yea right! That's false, I can see the logic in the lead-off batter not mattering as much. But what you said is 100% completely false. You have to protect your best hitters, and that is a fact. As long as you bunch up the good hitters, you're fine. Nothing else matters. NOPE that's not what he said... he said it's been proven LINE UP ORDER DOESN'T MATTER that says nothing about bunching up the good hitters. Yes it does, because no matter if you put the good hitters 1-4 or 6-9 it doesnt matter as long as you bunch the good hitters together well, it could matter in that they don't get as many at bats.
  5. I love the part of the game where we hit the ball really hard, right at the other team. The middle innings. Right before the point where our guys quit hitting it hard, the late innings.
  6. you can here even Len getting pissy with calling marquis walks.

So show me your 'people' that have proven it doesn't matter who your leadoff hitter is. i believe the 'people' was either bill james or baseball prospectus. i'm sure someone here can provide you with the link yeah james has. i am far too lazy to link anything right now.
  8. lol like in game 6 of '03? So what? that's 4 years ago. Do you still want Sosa on the team? Because he did well in 2003? over floyd? Yes I do.
  9. He is afraid, as a pitcher it is the worst thing that can happen to you.
  10. This pitcher sucks, almost as bad as marquis.
  11. Just do us all a favor and contract this team.
  12. unreal. just unreal. why cant we get these crap hitters out. ever.
  13. Hey he eats inningsjavascript:emoticon('') Rolling Eyes poorly. And he made no attempt to get out of the way of that one.
  14. Do we ever get the other team 1-2-3 anymore?
  15. Jason Marquis is terrible. Just terrible.
  16. God I can wait until this clown's contract is up. Yeah jerk walk the pitcher here.
  17. That conversation was the best thing to come from yesterday's game. After he was hit by a pitch by Boston pitcher Carl Mays (who later caused the death of Ray Chapman from a HBP), Ty Cobb threw his bat at Mays which caused a huge reaction from the Sox fans. When the game was over, Boston fans stormed the field and swarmed around Cobb threatening to beat him up....but nobody had the nerve to spar with him. http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/6008/cobbfield2st4.jpg Ty Cobb was nailz.
