  1. Why? Even if it works, I'm complaining. Yeah right. Yeah so, I'm the first to call out decisions that are bad even if they work We hadn't scored since what? The 3rd inning? Sorry, but that was not a bad decision, it was bad execution. Kendall couldn't execute the bunt, and then he couldn't execute with the runners moving. It's that simple. Why would you send the tying run with 0 outs in the 9th when he's already in scoring position. It makes no sense. and to compund the problem you had the top of your lineup coming up. You know, the guys you want up in that spot.
  2. Oh, no ask half the board. They can't with that staff. Lol. They are already printing up playoff tickets in St. Louis.
  3. Oh yeah he was aweosme there. 4 baserunners that inning. if it wasnt the cubs and their lack of fundamental ability he loses.
  4. jacque is overmatched. once we split with the brewers the cards will have this division.
  5. You cant do that with the top of the lineup coming up.
  6. You cant do that with the top of the lineup coming up.
  7. come on jason. one more clutch hit as a cub.
  8. jesus Kendall becomes a cub, cant get a bunt down. he loses his fundamental abilities.
  9. We havent had a groundout to the pitcher in a while.
  10. I'm right here, and as usual I'm an idiot. Never underestimate the luck of that crap franchise.
  11. I was assured we didn't have to worry about the Cardinals because of their rotation. LOL. Where is everyone who was saying that now?
  12. I'm really hoping they don't win the West, though it's not as if the Cubs fare any better against the Padres. (sorry for tempting the baseball gods with playoffs talk) I don't think the Wild Card will come out of the West, and I do think the Padres will eventually catch up to and pass the D-Bags once they fall back to earth. That would mean the Cubs' first-round opponent would be the Mets, and in that case the Cubs would get absolutely steamrolled. If we got steamrolled by the Mets we would have the consolation of knowing we got beat by a team with solid talent. I still don't think the DBacks are good. They're winning games, but I strongly suspect they are living off career years from more than one player. I don't think they are. Who, besides Byrnes, is really having a career year? Drew is hitting .236, Upton is hitting .220, and Young is hitting in the .230s. I think they are a good team who is finding ways to win now, in a couple of years they are going to be very good.
  13. Don Sutton won at least 10 games a year for 15 consecutive years, not 21. Yeah but didn't he win 10 in 21 seasons? Total, yes. Consecutive, no. The Cy Young record he broke was for consecutive seasons, not total.Right, but I meant next year he should get his 21st season. Which would tie him with Don Sutton.
  14. awesome inning guys. Cant get beat by a crap lefty without a few of those a game.
  15. Fixed. pitchers being able to get a bunt down is important.
  16. Against lefties, I am sure he does.
  17. davis would be much worse career wise if it wasnt for our cubbies.
  18. Doug Davis. Lee and Ramirez should be ashamed of themselves for not mashing this bum.
  19. god why can't we hit crap lefties?
  20. I didn't realize Hudson had a .381 obp. Why the hell isn't he leading off?
