  1. The same place they were on May 4, 2007. Except Lilly and Marquis were pitching like All-Stars? If Lilly Hill and Marquis were pitching like they were last year at this time than this team would have about 2 losses We aren't the Cardinals. This type of stuff doesn't happen for us.
  2. Aaron Miles, Adam Kennedy, Cesar Izturis and Todd Wellemeyer with big games today. That's about right.
  3. One run out of that. That really kills our chances to win this game.
  4. I might be an idiot, but I think Cleveland gets them. I think they are a decent team that would have been about 7th best in the West. 7th in the West? They have LeBron but they're not that good outside of him. I realize they made the Finals last year with just LeBron and a bunch of role players, but I don't think there's any chance they get past Boston in the second round. No I mean Boston as 7th in the West. Really? Yeah I like all the four teams left and Phoenix and Dallas better than them. I like the big three, but after that I don't. Rondo and Perkins are just bleh. Well, they played 30 games against the West this year. They went 25-5. So that means that in the other 22 games against the West and the 30 games against the East you'd have them going 26-26? Boston may not dominate in the playoffs (although there is certainly plenty of history for a team struggling in one round and then coming back and plying well in later rounds), but they didn't win 66 games just by being in the East. They thoroughly dominated both conferences during the season by being the most consistent team. I never said I was right. I just don't think they are that good. I think they were able to beat up on a bad East and take the West games more seriously than the West teams did against them. Guys, from now on when I make an argument don't assume that I actually believe in the validity of said argument. How the hell would you ever be able to prove this one way or the other? Is David Stern going to make them replay the season with Boston in the West? Clown.
  5. That last ab was a good sign though. I like seeing him hit it hard through the middle like that. agreed. everyone is grumpy at him for getting down 0-2 every AB, but from what i've seen the last two days, a lot of the problem has been that he's missing first pitch and second pitch strikes, not that he's just hacking at complete garbage. the garbage hacks have generally been coming when he's trying to protect with two strikes. His hitting will come around. I know this. I am more worried that playing left field is going to get into his head. He doesn't look right at all out there at this point.

  7. Man he is 0-2 every at bat. Hopefully he snaps out of it soon.
  8. You have to be kidding me... how does Soriano get blamed for that? he's one of the whipping boys right now, so he gets blamed for everything. He couldn't have caught it, but I would just like to see him get to the point where he is chasing after the ball and not looking like a drunk softball player.
  9. This your first year following baseball. They do this all the time. Check out the 2006 World Series DVD starring Jeff Weaver.
  10. I wonder how many runs a game we cost ourselves by not having DeRo and Fuku in front of Lee and Soto?
  11. Good game Jason. Maybe you can go punch a wall or something.
  12. Marquis gets another inning. Gallagher get lost on the way to the park tonight?
  13. Yeah, but this is in St Louis and that was the greatest throw ever, Standing O. St Louis has such good baseball fans Knowledgable. They just get baseball.
  14. Yeah, but this is in St Louis and that was the greatest throw ever, Standing O.
  15. Beh the ump set him up with that bad call on the second strike.
  16. Great get, but we were out of schollys so we weren't after him too hard Jon.
  17. The media is all about them. They are all fired up about this great start.
  18. Wow think how good his career would have been were he comfortable.
  19. I am betting this strategy of pitching to Pujols with guys on base is gonna bite us in the butt here.
