That's absurd. Jereme passes exceptionally well for a kid his size. He also rebounds damn well. I have been very impressed with all facets of his game, but the jump shot.

Well, I haven't been impressed with anyone in college basketball this year. Selby should really help KU. Duke is impressive when healthy.

I was always more of a Brian McRae fan, myself. He stole home once! Yeah, I always preferred McRae too. While I hated to see McRae go, for some odd reason I thought we were getting Carl Everett back instead of Lance Johnson. I played basketball against Brian McRae last year. He's rather large now. Doubt he can run anymore and I learned from Dusty you are just clogging the bases if you can't run. -

technically, he's gotten better, but wasn't he supposed to be a one-and-doner? Yeah, but in the same way Brandon Rush was supposed to be a one and doner. Some of these guys are really good, but when I think of one and doners I think of the kind of talent that the top of the 07 class had. Rose, Beasley, Love, Gordon, etc.

I have zero doubt that the '03 playoffs shaved years off of my life. Stupid Dusty and his belief that Lenny Harris was somehow a threat. -
I love having the network, but it really could be som much more than it really is. Why don't they have more concentration on recruiting? Why don't they have some stat guys on there that can really talk about the players and the teams, not just old players who are clearly biased towards their old schools? I hope it gets better.

There's giving up 50 in the second half, too. Well I read the other team shot over 50 from the field, over 50 from 3, and over 80 at the line and put up 76. The last few years we lose this game. We have enough talent now to win in spite of that. But, yeah the defense and effort need to get better against the cupcakes. Plus the BTN had Zook on and immediately NCU went on a 12-0 run. That guy is bad luck.

And even the Frazier years, the Illini finished 4th in the Big Ten and blew a late lead to Va Tech, finished 10th in the Big Ten (but 40th in Pomeroy ratings overall) and made the conference tourney finals, and finished 2nd in the Big Ten (where a disastrous Frazier injury with 2 games to go killed the postseason). All 3 of those years, Weber was lauded for how well he coached despite inferior talent. Out of those years the only one that was decent was two years ago. We were one lucky break of getting the benefit of the doubt as a 12 seed from missing the tourney 3 out of 4 years. At Illinois. That team wasn't lucky to get a 12 seed. They were a better team than the Va. Tech team they played. If you're going to continue to use revisionist history every time you bring up Weber, though, there's no point in continuing this conversation. A lot of the shows had us on the bubble, but whatever. Either way his track record with his own guys is pretty horrible compared to the rest of Illinois' history.

Yep, it loos decent with an All American point guard. See Williams, Brown, and DMac. It looks really bad otherwise though. See Chester and Jeff Jordan.

Wait, are you serious? What he did to the program? Yeah, getting to the national championship was a black eye for the program. Oh you know, not winning a tournament game in 5 years. Acting like a total ass bag cry baby over the Eric Gordon situation. Allowing Jamar Smith to remain on the team. Bruce has done PLENTY to give the program a bad name. His tenure has been troubled and controversial to say the least. Its about wins and losses and if he doesn't start winning soon, he needs to be gone. I can't believe an Illinois fan thinks he acted like an ass bag crybaby over IDKWTI. Can you name me anything that he did that you'd deem cry-babyish? Walk away from a proven cheater who stole a committed player from him? Yeah I don't blame him for that at all. Everything else though I agree with.

I think you would be suprised at who we could get. The natrual allure of Chicago is enough to draw in some looks. I'd really like Lon Kruger back. I loved Lon. Lon couldn't recruit Chicago at all Neither can Bruce. Jerrence can though.

Struggles in recruiting, inexplicably finishing 2nd in the Big Ten the following year with just Dee, finishing second in the Big Ten in 2009 with just about nobody talented on the roster. It's inexplicable, Weber was a fantastic game coach for 5 years, and now that he's actually recruiting, the meatheads think he can't coach. I've never bought into him as a great coach. I think his version of the motion offense sucks and hasn't been great since he didn't have an All American running it. He refuses to press at all eventhough we have the athletes and depth that scream for it. I also hatre he doesn't ever use a zone even though it does work ask the Cuse. In fact, had we played it just a bit against UNC in '05 and not allow Fatty McFat to kill us by himself down low, we probably win a national title. And for both of those second place finishes he won one tourny game. Congrats Bruce you were lucky enough to come into the conference when it was way down.

Absurd and why not Jim Hendry has one. Maybe Your hero Kenny Williams will come save the Illini. Guenther pretty much already has one doesn't he? Kenny always gets his man!!!!!!! Rajon Rondo has more titles at this age than Michael Jordan did, just saying. I will kill you. Kill you dead. Rajon Rondo should be one of my favorites, but Tubby snatched him from us at the last second. Likely due to his son being the ugliest man ever.

Is it a sure thing that Austin would commit if offered? And who are our '13 targets besides Hamilton and Parker? It's pretty well assumed about Austin. Foster's the other big name in Illinois for '13, but we're in on a few of the others along with a couple Indiana guys, Basil Smotherman, the name that comes to mind there. Peter Jok from IA was supposed to be at our midnight madness but couldn't get a ride. Many are saying Foster to Purdue.
