oh i forgot to add that we need to trade cedeno for chase utley and move derosa to rf and trade Fukudome to the padres for Mark Prior.

oh man i bet the giants and pirates would jump all over that. Well there gos my Sean Marshall and Ronny Cedeno for Evan Longoria and Kevin Hart and Micah Hoffpauir for Jake Peavy proposals. 2nd ones good. first is stoopid. we already have a 3b. we should not let that stop us. our 3b is like 1-50 in the postseason.

trade soriano and lee for tim Lincecum. Trade Felix Pie, Jason Marquis other else for Nate Mclouth. Sign Manny Ramirez and Mark Teixeira and just hope and pray I guess.

I'd be happy if the cast-offs were limited to DeRo, Dempster, Theriot, and D-Lee. They had the tightest sphincters this series, so they simply have to go. Give Fuku another year. Embrace Soriano's eccentricity and encourage players to emulate him. Sign four guys that, in a psychological sense, most fit the Manny/Johnny Damon/Idiot psychological profile to replace DeRo, Demp, Ther, and D. Just not Manny himself. Too distracting. Bring in Bellhorn as a bench guy (or coach?). DeRo, really? You do realize he's driven in our only runs of this series, right? and gave up 5 by not fielding his position. So he is at -3 right now.

Not even close You're delusional. No offense to you personally. But he's not wrong. There are WORSE run franchises in pro sports....like the Oakland Raiders, Detroit Lions, New York Rangers, New York Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, etc, etc. So the Cubs are clearly not as bad ( tho there not overly great, either) as you claim it to be, Jeff. :lol: glad i wasn't the only one who was confused by this post.

While we're at it why don't we trade Marquis and sign Sabathia too. Not exactly the same thing if we did ditch soriano contract we could easily afford to sign manny ramirez and i think its safe to say that manny is a better hitter than soriano. But still it won't happen so whatever i guess. -

There is nothing wrong with pointing out how quite it was, because that is very unusual for a cubs game, and i thought it was weird as well, but to compare it to the white sox game yesterday is what I found dumb. 1. It's quiet, not quite. 2. There are a ton of stupid things that Dick Stockton said and this is what you came up with? Weak. Some might say pointing out a spelling mistake to start an argument is weak as well.

To be fair, he made that remark before we were losing. he also made it afterwards. But his point was valid. You can jump all over him all you want, but give him credit when he's right. Almost every teams stadium would be going nuts in a 1 game playoff. If I recall correctly wrigley field was going nuts during their one game playoff against sf. He was comparing apples to oranges in my opinion so I feel it belongs in the category of dumb things said.
