    I find it refreshing to take an entire cup of soda and just throw it on myself. Nothing fishy about that at all. Looked like water to me. I've never heard of MLB teams that have soda in their dugout coolers.

    Another example of a baseball organization that does things the right way. Unfortunately, the owners of the Rockies are notorious cheapskates. I hope that after the showing the Rockies put up this season, that they start shelling out some cash.

    About what are you expressing incredulity? I just think this is making something out of completely nothing. Webb is one of the best pitchers in the league and whooped up on us. Period. Very possibly. But there was OBVIOUSLY something on his hat. In all likely hood it's just a dirty spot from putting his hand there constantly. But, regardless, there was some sort of discoloration there. And it's true, he DID go to that spot on his hat before some of his pitches. Again, the fact that he is going to his hat so often could be what caused the discoloration in the first place, but we dont know that. Nobody here is accusing him of most definitely cheating. We're just saying that we saw something on his hat that he went to on occasion. Couldn't he have just been adjusting his hat? Players are always fidgeting with their hats and uniforms (Zambrano).

    They just replayed the whole thing on TBS a second ago, and I don't think there was anything fishy going on.

    I'll never understand why some ballplayers are so obtuse that they don't adjust to the particular pitching style they are facing that day. Are they just not intelligent?

    Heh heh heh. I'm not the only person who sees how bad ESPN is homering for Rollins lately, am I? I don't watch ESPN and I don't think Rollins should be MVP but I was laughing because Rollins homered minutes after you said that. Yes, he did. But in my mind he's still nothing other than a more powerful and better protected Curtis Granderson.

    Yes, unfortunately I probably agree with you (have been doing that alot lately). If we were to play some juggernaut team in this series, we'd probably destroy them. But because the Diamondbacks are a bunch of no hitting mouth breathers, they'll own us in a horribly painful and CLOSE scoring series. Truth be told, the Diamondbacks will beat us because they are the luckiest team in baseball right now and we are....well, the Cubs.

    I saw him pinch-hit last night and told my friend I'd literally never heard of him in my life. He got a hit, though, so it was all good. Kid can mash. Hit .402 as a freshman at Ole Miss. Was also Eli Manning's backup at QB. Interesting that the Rockies have two guys that have backed up Mannings in college: Smith and Todd Helton.
