  1. are you 2 dating now? I'd date his goatee.
  2. Yes, and if anyone watches more than two innings of them play ball, they'll see why.
  3. He did. Congrats Rockies. Well-deserved. Rockies would've owned Chicago if the Cubs made it to the NLCS. No kidding.
  4. Good for them. A team that did it the right way: from the ground up. Congrats especially to Todd Helton. P.S. Eat dirt Eric Byrnes.
  5. I'm rocking my Helton jersey now. I have a thing for lefty first basemen with the no.17 :-)
  6. Dang people in the ESPN chatroom right now talking smack about how the WS is going on right now between the Indians and BoSox. Rockies lineup would own in Fenway. They are 2-0 against Schilling and Beckett this season.
  7. Basically Byrnes said that the Dbags outplayed the Rockies the 1st two games but that the Rockies won because they are lucky. More Byrnes whining within the same article, said nothing has gone their way thus far. Well if one doesn't include the regular season and the NLDS I guess he's right, lap it up Diamondbacks. You're done after tonight - shouldn't have been in the playoffs in the first place. Hey Tony Clark - Anybody at anytime, what's it after tonight? Nobody at no time? Nothing has gone their way?? Things have apparently gone their way for the entire season since mathematically they should have been 4 games below .500.
  8. I guess I'm just not sure that adding the DH to the National League is a good thing. So, why would it be a good thing? Because I think it's ridiculous to have 2 different set of rules for each league. Also, the lack of DH means National League teams are shut out when it comes to opportunities to sign/trade for elite hitters who can't/don't field. I don't think over half the teams should be shut out for the chance to sign some of these players. I'd be all for the AL getting rid of the DH, but the union will never let that happen. So the only other option is for the NL to adopt the DH, and have both leagues be the same. In Fair Ball, Costas suggests that the union would be for it the league offered that rosters be expanded to 26 players. Oh, and the DH is AWFUL. The rules say 9 against 9.
  9. I remember that (you did that twice, if I recall). I think you're the only person to actually ask to be banned. :D oh wow, I might have to do that.
  10. Basically Byrnes said that the Dbags outplayed the Rockies the 1st two games but that the Rockies won because they are lucky. Pot meet kettle. Exactamundo.

  12. My brother is at the game and says it is the most physically miserable sporting event he's ever been to, but that he is loving it. 40 degrees and raining = no thanks.
  13. The last Cubs manager to complete an entire season with another team was Jim Marshall who managed the Athletics for ONE season in 1979. You have to go back to Bob Scheffing, who managed us in 1959, to find a manager who managed at least two full seasons after his stint with the Cubs (Detroit '61, '62).
  14. Both the hosts, whoever they are, on ESPN Radio right now are both arguing that LSU should drop as far as USC because a "loss is a loss". The host said "it don't matter about who you playing, it's a loss." What a bunch of garbage. I'm LEAPS AND BOUNDS far away from being an LSU homer, but losing to a 44 point underdog AT your own house is very very different from losing to the 17th ranked team in the country at THEIR house. Whatever.
  15. That's so soap dropping lame that they take the goalposts down instead of letting the students pull it down.
  16. Hence one of the reasons why I think Ole Miss and Mississippi State are always at the bottom of the SEC: the talent isn't there because the talent pool is split in the state. We have the second lowest population (2.9 mil) of any SEC state (AR is lowest with 2.7), yet have two SEC schools. That splits the in state talent, which is already low because of the population. Southern Miss also splits a good bit of talent as well. With the athletes that come out of Mississippi, if this state only had one big state school like Louisiana or Georgia, or had a bigger population, I'd bet that it would be continually a successful school.
  17. That's not really an upset IMO. Georgia is so overrated (every year) it's not even funny.
  18. Ugh, I want to see an upset because it's in my blood to hate the Tigers, but I want to see an SEC school in the title game and LSU will do that more than likely. Conundrum.
  19. bet you wish you were still dating that nurse huh. Hell, with that BS ending, I'm glad I didn't go. I would have gotten arrested.
  20. Rebels lose on a reversed call to end the game. Freaking review lasted 5 minutes. Long enough time for Bama to phone in their bribs. Sucks because Greg Hardy, our stud sophomore DE had 13 tckl, 4.5 for loss, 3 sacks, and 2 fumbles forced.
  21. Please please beat Alabama. Nothing worse on this earth than an Alabama fan with their delusions of grandeur. I'm not at the game, although I can hear the sounds outside my apartment door. Stupid flu. It's not even freaking flu season!!
  22. 1985 Kansas City Royals. Enough said.
  23. Cuban/Schuerholz 08. =P~ Schuerholz is basically retiring folks. He's still sticking with the Bravos organization.
  24. I'll be trying to get tix...but to sell them.
