I think Florida and USC are worth pursuing too. They are in the same country after all. Maybe you should do some research into the topic before spouting off. Texas asked to be invited into the Big Ten before they joined the Big XII. I'd imagine that the Big XII didn't exist at the time they tried to get into the Big Ten. I believe the point is that they asked to join the Big Ten before they asked to join the Big 8. But I don't see how that is relevant to the situation NOW. Circumstances were so enormously different back then.

TEXAS? Them and Oklahoma are pretty much the center pieces of the Big XII and plus it wouldn't make any geographical sense anyways. The nearest schools to Texas that are in the Big Ten are literally over 1,000 miles away. Thanks, I've never seen a map, and don't understand this concept of the Big XII. I said both are likely to turn it down. Then why even suggest such an unrealistic possibility?

The nearest schools to Texas that are in the Big Ten are literally over 1,000 miles away. i would bet my house that at least one of iowa city, bloomington and champaign are less than 1,000 miles from austin. granted they're a long way from there, but i doubt it's quite 1,000. Google Maps said they are all just over 1,000 miles. As the bird flies I'm sure they are closer

Arkansas? That would make some sense because they are the most recent school to join the conference (early 90's I think). USC might have also come along around that time too. But if you did that then you'd have to find another SEC team. Georgia Tech maybe?

If it had been one or two or hell, maybe even three over the years, I think she might could have stayed. But she has to divorce him at this point. Jim Norton made an interesting observation the other day on the O and A show. He imagined that Elin hearing that one girl talking about being with Tiger the night his father died probably upset her specifically because that is a day that I'm sure she remembers vividly. It's one thing if someone cheated on you on a random tuesday 8 months ago where you have no recollection of that day and so imagining the physical act of adultery is somewhat abstract, but quite another thing when you can remember the day of the incident and thus remember what you were doing at the time. She can probably remember talking to Tiger that night and now she knows that while she was talking to him he had some bimbo laying next to him or whatever.

so what difference does that make? I've watched games with the DH and I've watched games without the DH. No DH is much better baseball.

It needs to happen, but I doubt it ever will. The DH rule is an abomination to the game.
