  1. “Downfield” is still a relative term. But he’s certainly throwing more in the 15-20 yard range than he had been. Looking at his pass chart this season, he’s only completed 10 passes over 20 yards and just 1 over 30. that would be sea-change compared to how often the Bears go downfield Maybe just with Mitch at QB. Looking at your pass charts, I’ve got Trubisky only completing 3 20+ yarders this season, including what looks to be a Hail Mary from last week. But Foles has 17 completions past that range.
  2. Maybe but isn't their offense more of a intermediate catch in space/YAC style? I could be way off. Pretty much. Something to consider, though, is that this week will be the first game since Week 1 that the Saints will have a their receiving corps healthy and on the field with Brees. Mike Thomas is 100% for the game. Oddly enough, Drew has been throwing the ball downfield more since returning from the broken ribs. I'm not sure if that has something to do with the practice squad receivers he's been throwing to, but some of these throws weren't happening early in the season. “Downfield” is still a relative term. To be fair to the old man though, you can look at other QB pass charts and they hardly ever throw past 20 yards either. Mahomes, for example, only has 16 completions past 20 yards this season.
  3. FIFY It’s not hyperbole to say that Brees can’t throw the ball farther than 25 yards down the field anymore. His arm is completely dead.
  4. Bahahahaha what an epic flop
  5. So Kamara can be back from Covid if the Saints playoff game is scheduled for Sunday but not it it’s Saturday. The NFL hasn’t set the schedule yet. Cue the “Goodell hates the Saints” conspiracy theories if that sucker gets set for Saturday.
  6. Not that I am making excuses for him but it was not re-assuring to see him shaking his throwing arm after nearly every play in the 2nd half. Maybe the 3rd string should have gotten some reps. A full strength game for both sides would have been interesting. Ole Miss was down 3,049 yards and 28 TD's with their top 4 skill players out. Their offense today was a complete shell of itself. I didn't even know who some of those guys were out there.
  7. Jeeez, Indiana hasn’t won a bowl game since Desert Storm
  8. No way. The only scenario that would cause Sark to turn down Texas would be if he knew that Saban was going to retire and that he’d be next in line at Bama.
  9. Wow. Texas fired Herman. Sarkisian is expected to be named new HC
  10. Or.... Justin Fields is really really good. Seeing the Florida QB as a Heisman finalist over Fields is a joke Not really. If Fields had played more games he’d have been a finalist. Not complicated and isn’t a slight IMO.
  11. Score more points I guess? Ole Miss somehow scored 48 on them this year, so it’s possible. Seriously though, it’s demoralizing having Bama be Bama every single freaking year.
  12. Going back to Jackie Sherrill and probably even before then, Miss State coaches, players and fans have always behaved like a bunch of lowlifes. I'm sure you remember the "Run, Chucky Run" signs. Of course. Trashiest fan base and team in the SEC.
  13. Yeeeesh
  14. They were ugly. Jerry Rice could’ve been the receiver and they still wound have been picks.
  15. That’s like 10 or 11 miles of yards from scrimmage
  16. Fair question. Perhaps they just suck.
  17. First time I’ve seen the yardage numbers superimposed on the field like the yellow line is. That’s smart.
  18. Panthers really have no incentive to tank. They could take a QB, but still should be in Zach Wilson range (if he doesn't go 2). But since they don't necessarily NEED to take a QB, they won't be pressed to move up. They can sit back, take Wilson, the best lineman, any defensive position, or Kyle Pitts. They had no incentive to win either. They went from drafting 3rd to 9th with that win.
  19. Why in the hell are the Panthers playing a competitive game? Think they’d be tanking at this point
  20. Dude probably would have played QB if they actually had the forward pass when he played.
