    Wings and Ducks must being playing on a actual pond tonight. Puck is hopping everywhere.

    If I was Tallon here are a couple things I would have floating around my mind going into the future. Someone is probably going to overpay for Havlat and khabibulin...neither is an elite player who is worthy of overpayment in the current NHL salary structure. IDK what the Hawks cap situation is going to be this offseason. This may sound funny but I think Scott Neidermayer is worth every penny someone is going to sign him for. Adding him will make the Huet situation better, probably take other young Dmen up another notch and make the Hawks special teams the best in the league. Replace Havlat with some Cup experienced scoring forward. There are more out there than you think and are not very expensive.(Shanahan,Afingenov,Satan) I know Havlat is more than just a scoring forward, but you have to consider he again is healthy during a contract year. Resign Pahlsson and possibly another grind forward These things and the team improving with experience and the Hawks are a couple of notched better next year.

    congrats on the Hawks, must have been awesome to be there last night. 2 things about your statement. 1. Who had Khabibulin ranked 8th out of 8? 2. By Thursday he will be tied with 3 others with 8 wins.

    but the wings are like the russian national team. they are a machine. makes for good theatre if we can take em deep, though. plus, they've had a good whoopin coming from the hawks for a long time. Hawks have played them tough all season. They need to play the full 60min against them and it'll be a great series. You must have missed the home and home they had when the Hawks were within 5 points of first place. Ah, there he is. :wink: Your boys pounded us in December/January when it mattered, but I think the Hawks firepower can punch more than a few holes in Osgood. I think I said congrats on the previous page :) Honestly I am still worried about Anaheim so I am certainly not going to get into any trash talking yet. Just making a small observation.

    What is really funny about what happened the other night. Its not like Jenks was ejected or anything bad. The umpire issued warnings. Not really that big of a deal and certainly not anything to have a meltdown about.

    If Carolina gets a 2 goal lead they better keep Walker off the ice... OKay, again, What is the standard? At this rate Brashear should get a lawyer and sue the NHL. Whats it going to take, Crosby or Ovechkin to get a broken orbital bone for the league to get their heads out of their butts? Take a look at the guys who have done things in the playoffs so far that warranted suspensions or did something that was nearly identical as a guy who got a suspension, yet got off scott free. Mike Cammalleri Chris Kunitz Scott Walker Now the guys that have gotten suspended: Colton Orr Donald Brashear Dan Carcillo Notice something about those lists? Top 6 forwards versus bottom six tough guys. The way the NHL doles out suspensions essentially proves that they only have the balls to hand out suspensions when the player in question ISN'T an impact player.

    Add Cyno onto that list and you're golden :-D I really don't mean a lot of my comments... I always go back through during commercials and unfortunately realize I'm wrong when I cry about refs after I rewind my TiVo. Oh well... these playoffs have been awesome! it seems to be becoming the standard for losing. It is very inconceivable to imagine the other team is better that day I guess. My teams fans are just as guilty as everyone else

    I went looking over message boards from all the remaining teams. It would seem that the thing that the Canucks, Caps, Ducks, and Canes have in common is that the refs screwed them all last game.

    kopecky did the Wings a huge favor by fighting pro boxer beuchamin. He took off one of the 3 d men they were playing for 5 mins. He got himself hurt so a better player can get on the ice. We still have Leino in reserve also

    What's with the fans throwing all that crap on the ice? Seems like Canadian hockey fans would be above all that. I know they are passionate, but that's just silly. I completely agree. The atmosphere GM Place is fantastic, but you will find a ton of idiots there. yeah, you would never see that at a Chicago sporting event. I agree it is bad when fans do this, but its not like Vancouver is the only place that has ever happened.

    Refs must not want to make a call in a tie game. 2 big obvious penalties not called in the last minute. 1 each way

    Even with those 2 obvious ones tonight, he dove on both. I am not saying they were not penalties against the Canucks, but Kane sure enhanced both of them, which may be why he is not getting calls.

    I don't think so... Edit: Maybe The box scores make no sense on those penalties right now. The way they have it should have been even It keeps changing, if you go by what it currently says the Hawks had a 5 on 3 PP

    Yes. And thank goodness. Walker has great heart, but he worries me. Probably a good move by the refs, get control of this game some. Get off 2 of the biggest fighters. Sends a message to clean it up and play.
