I disagree. The Pats used Talib to show the rest of the NFL a formula for taking him out of games. Rough him up early and he mentally checks out. Plus he's a poor run blocker and has had aligator arms ever since Gholston took him out in the TB game. By no means am I trying to say he won't be missed, but given the huge need at C and the first round pick I don't think the net loss is as great as one might initially think. Drew clearly plays better when he isn't rushed up the middle and he remembered to spread the ball better when Graham was out. Clearly the Saints offense will be Cooks, Stills and a heavy dose of Ingram going forward, and I am interested to see how it goes. Fwiw, local reports here are that Payton and Loomis were none too happy with Graham last year. There were reports of him being a real "me" guy in the locker room, ducking reporters after losses, complaining about stats and still moping late in the year about not getting paid like a top WR. Then he played in the Pro Bowl to as he said, "test out his shoulder" which really pissed off Payton. Whatever is true, they clearly have made a concerted effort to change the culture in the locker room. This wasn't a cap move either. The savings were negligible.
