as is Lickliter, National Coach of the Year 5 years more recently than Sampson As is Chris Lowery if Purdue wants to stay in the SIU coaching tree. Why wouldn't they want to do that?

I don't think Stevens is a realistic option for Illinois. He's going to stay at Butler for at least another year and then we'll see what happens with Crean at IU.

I was just going to say, Weber to Purdue then Illinois can hire Pearl! =D> :P Shaka to Illinois. Sounds perfect. Did anyone think Smart was a good coach before his team unjustly got into the tournament? I don't think anyone knew anything about him before the tournament. Besides just getting to the Final Four, his gameplans for each tournament game so far have really impressed me.

It's even better when you go to your rivals home and win a championship ;) Didn't see the game, kept checking updates on my phone saw the Bucks were up 14 I think at one point in the 3rd? Told my buddy don't worry they will blow this. Sure enough they did. Good luck the rest of the way to Bulls fans. they didn't blow it. Nope, Rose decided he'd like to win that game. His on-court attitude has undergone a complete 180 since he came into the league. I remember during Game 1 of the Boston series, he had a silent but confident look about him. He was as calm and as cool as possible on a pretty big stage. Now late in games, he has "that look" on his face which is pretty reminiscent of what Kobe does down the stretch. He has a mean side to him and he hasn't been afraid to show it at all. Maybe that talk he had with Kobe before last season helped more than anybody could have thought. I mean look at Rose's quote after the game last night. "The worst thing you can do is give me confidence no matter what I'm doing," Rose said. "If I get any type of confidence, it's going to be hard to stop me." I think he's always had it in him, but he's definitely expressing it outwardly now. I was a little shocked when I saw that quote from him earlier today, but that's just been par for the course this season. I still can't believe how big of a step he has taken this year.

not sure what you mean. Should be a bigger story. Everyone had ameltdown when they were even let in the tourney. ANd they played an extra game in the tourney. And they've beaten only major conference teams. And with the exception of FSU, they've kind of pounded them (I dont remember the score of the USC game.) It's pretty crazy. I think the reason why Mason was a bigger story was because they were the first mid-major team in an extremely long time to make the Final Four. The landscape of college basketball was also much better as they beat MSU, UNC and UConn on the way to the Final Four. I remember being completely shocked that they beat UConn to advance to the FF. I was obviously surprised that VCU won today, but nowhere near the same level as when Mason did it a few years ago.

It's even better when you go to your rivals home and win a championship ;) Funny we didnt even need to beat the Bucks 3rd string players. OH I GET IT That was incredible. How can you not like Rose's demeanor, especially in tight games down the stretch?
